Great second goal by Firmino. Nothing Cech couldve done about that.
Not sure how Giroud missed that first half sitter, but made up for it with his second goal. great turn and finish.
He's starting to really prove the doubters wrong. 11 goals in his last 11 away games
Good news is that Sanchez might be back for Stoke on the weekend and looks like Elneny will be in the squad aswell
Cracking game to watch, mind you are right about the Giroud sittet, how did he miss?
Sure was. Pity it was not seen by many mainstream Aussies. Yeah, that should have been a sitter from that beautifully-worked cut-back.
ps, Not Nice wouldn't have been happy with the result @ the Lane.

What is a mainstream Aussie? And why couldn't they have all watched it?

HAHA I sent Chaos a text, when seeing Arteta getting kitted up, along the same line! Bad move Wenger! How Chambers didn't get the gig is a joke, recently has played very well in that role & is better suited to the long ball Liverpool style in challenging Benteke & Caulker - & if on may of had an impact in challenging Benteke for the nod down to Allen.
Elneny cant come in quick enough

Correct.
Nice Cyril got a Not Nice face at the moment. Leicester are a horrible team, all long balls and set pieces, but bloody effective. We totally outplayed them for 80% of the game (again), but got zero points. I'm not a qualified FIFA coach, but still not sure about Pochettino's team selections.

Saints can only thank Forster for that result, we didn't play poorly, we just had a bad night in front of goal

I felt it was a red card, said Howe. I had a very good view and I felt it was two-footed. That type of tackle has been outlawed, you can't do it.
'For me it was a pretty simple decision. It was a straight red card and it would have had a huge bearing on the game. I was surprised when the ref only produced the yellow. 'Dan could have been seriously injured on another occasion. That's why it should have been a straight red. It didn't look like he was in control.
Flamini, who was shown a yellow card, said he was 'focused on the ball' and 'took the ball'. Gosling was unhurt, but it was the kind of tackle that would normally incense Wenger were it committed on one of his players.
On this occasion, however, the Arsenal manager did not think it deserved a red card.
'I didn't see it like that,' said Wenger. 'Honestly I felt, even at the start, it was a free-kick for us. Flamini was first on the ball. I didn't see how high his feet were. He was first on the ball, I don't think he even needed to tackle.
'It was maybe both; a foul from Flamini because he had high feet. I don't know. I still feel the fact he was first on the ball, went for the ball, didn't go for the player, it would have been harsh.
Nailed on red. Arsenal lucky again

Two goals in quick succession pretty much finished the game off. We werent at our best though, but after not winning in 4 league games (and not scoring in three of them) i'll take the win.
Glad to see the Ox get on the scoresheet aswell. Hopefully he can kick on and show some of the form that was expected of him this season.
Next week v Leicester will be huge. Again, another game we cant afford to lose. We win, and the margin at the top is cut back to two points.

I'm sure I can find some posts where you lot think he's the German Franco Baresi.

Might be needing him second half against Leicester. I'm enjoying this game!

To be honest, Leicester have been outplayed many a time this season and still picked up points and have been really lucky with referees letting them off with bad tackles, so they can have no complaints copping their first red card.
Just a crying shame it was the wanky Gooners
