cheer up, the first team would have probably conceded five
Dixie Dean was hailed by another Mersey legend, Liverpool’s Bill Shankly, as “belonging in the company of the supremely great, like Beethoven, Rembrandt and Shakespeare.”

60 goals, never to be equalled.

Seeing Man.United are not involved in the UEFA Champions League this season, why didn't van Gaal play his strongest line-up?
Given his 3-4-1-2 formation is struggling , I agree Con , should have played more first team players.

No Europe this season means United should go out to win EVERYTHING else. The United of old is long gone, its going to be a rough next ten or so years

Don't think so, they have far too much financial clout to be in the doldrums for very long, but it's fun to watch whilst it lasts.

There seems to be a lot less 'Glory, Glory, Man United' fans around these days

So Rojo is struggling to get a UK work permit cos he bottled (literally) his neighbour a few years ago and may face trial for assault. If guilty he could be in the slammer for up to a year.

I'm finding the clusterf*ck that is United very amusing this year, hope this is just the beginning.

Here's to many more corners turned.

So you're not hoping for IFAB to make the goals larger, give more points for a goal, add an extra dozen linesmen, change the shape of the ball and call it footy?

Or are you telling me you're stupid?

If that happens it would indeed be very amusing. Who needs Coronation Street when you got Old Trafford.

I think you're right.

You always had a feeling ManUtd would win games.

Even if they were 2-0 down with 10 to go, you expected them to get a result.

Not anymore though!

Blind coming in for £14m. A much better signing IMO. Hopefully a few more defensive signings to come before the window closes.

Man Utd got a good deal. Blind was our best player BY FAR.

He is not a flashy player, he wont score more than 1 or 2 goals a year, but he will make sure that he cleans up the ball in the midfield to rebound the team back into attack.
