Nice to see the sense of occasion at Old Trafford, emulating the 1976 FA Cup final result this morning.

No Champions League this year so they need to come up with other ways to play more matches at OT.

Cracking win, fair play to LVG to even up the ledger, MU basically played with 10 men from the 55th minute.

I really enjoyed watching the last two games

And we did it without any world class defenders. Lots of room for improvement

Funny how injuries and suspensions probably benefitted Man U.
RVP injured means Rooney goes upfront and Herrara in, Di Maria suspended means Mata in.
I don’t think they beat Spurs 3-0 and Liverpool so comfortably with an immobile RVP up top, Rooney in midfield and Di Maria instead of Mata.

funny how opposition fans dont want to give credit where its due.....

LVG - hasnt been afraid to upset superstars either at United or at previous teams (something Rogers and Liverpool have been afraid of doing). he has....

dropped RVP, Di Maria and Falcao at various stages
played Rooney out of his preferred position
made sure new signings like Shaw, Herrera and Rojo understand that they are not guarenteed starting spots

he hasnt been afraid to change formations on a weekly basis while teaching a new philosophy
he hasnt been afraid of the vocal critticism from the stands from supporters who want United to 'attack attack attack'

he has overseen the second best defensive record which such great CB's like Jones and Smalling, while only just recently having a settled backline

he has converted Valencia and Young into wingbacks and has Felliani playing in a way that Moyes knew he could but couldnt get him to do so

anyway...yeah...Man U have been lucky....

I think you just like arguing for the sake of arguing, I reckon you need to go have a wank or something before you log on.

Where did I say anything about luck?

You can come up with this fantasy any way you like, but he kind of stumbled on this team by chance last couple of games. RVP fit and Di Maria not suspended, different lineup for sure, different results maybe. But go on another rant for the sake of it if it makes you feel better.

yep.....Man U planned for the injuries and instructed its players to get suspended...

now because the above were out of Man U control you can only summise that its because of luck that LVG chose the team and tactics he did to beat Liverpool...BTW - he couldve played Di Maria from the start but CHOSE not to...

if you propose tossing as a way of relieving stress, what to you recommend for jealousy, bitterness and blindness????

Point - Two very good players injured and suspended, usually that would weaken a team. But in this case, it has allowed for better balance in the team.

Your rebuttal - miss the point then talk about chardonnay and blindness.

Rebuttal.....again for your sake......

He had Di Maria available from suspension and CHOSE not to start him

He had Falcao (another striker whom he has deployed as a lone striker) on the bench and CHOSE not to start him. Who is to say he would've played RVP if available....he's benched him previously this season.

point being....a coach like LVG doesn't get dictated to by players nor circumstances

In my opinion, MU don’t get 6 points from Spurs and Liverpool with Van Persie and Di Maria in the team.

If you don’t like my opinion you can wank yourself to the point of blindness for all I care.

happy for anyone to have an opinion......but yours is irrelevant after the fact cause it relies on 'what ifs'....

I guess being an AEK/Liverpool supporter explains your bitterness/jealousy....

So you think he 'chose' to leave out di Maria after one of their better wins of the season....?

well yes....unless you can show that LVG was given instructions by someone else to leave him out thus undermining his authority...

Wasn't the Spurs-Liverpool lineup the first time this season team sheet has been unchanged?

So he found the right balance by chance at the Spurs game (without the unavailable RVP, Evans and AdM) and didn't tinker with it for the Liverpool game, which is common sense....

I agree kop.
It wasn't LVG at his tactical best.
If they lost the spurs game I'm sure DiMaria would've been straight in & maybe more changes. Just like the rest of the season

Yep first time lineup unchanged and good on him, if it ain't broke, dint fix it

In think due to the big $$ spent on di Maria and falcao, it would be hard not to play them and not cop criticism..

Whatever the reason, luck, genius or both, man utd have found form and picked up 6 points while dominating both spurs and Liverpool :D

Brought united back to the winning, attacking mentality the club thrives on at the right end of the season

all malakies aside, i just cant believe that LVG 'found the right balance by chance' by throwing up names and letting them fall into place on his whiteboard...

for the Spurs games he recalled our 3 best passers (Blind, Carrick and Mata)....he's been quoted as saying that he rates ball movement and brain speed higher than 'leg speed'...even if he had DiMaria, who wouldve he dropped - young or valencia??? Di Maria has been shocking since his personal ordeal and has often been substituted.

he's also played Mata as a false right wing allowing him to come in and help Carrick and Herrera

anyway....we all see it differently. Im just more likely to give LVG a little more credit than just 'luck' or circumstances...

BTW: read up about how he altered the Dutch team for the WC finals after strootmans injury.

I thought you only lost 2-1. And it's "must have" in case you need a quick English lesson.
