Germany VS Argentina

Post by Rookie »

Good game so far.

Germany lost Kadera in the warm up and then Kramer with what looks like concussion.

Probably just give the nod to the Argies at half time.

Thoughts??

Those missed chances - Higuain, Messi and Palacio - will haunt Argentina. They started very well, but lost the impetus in the second half. I wonder if Lavezzi was injured, otherwise the decision to take him off for Aguero was a shocker.

Credit to Germany, best team over the course of the tournament.

Sabella said it was tactical.

Unless the idea was for Argentina to be less threatening he fuc*ed it.

Yeah just saw what he said, really puts into context now what a shocking move it was.

+1. And I was always worried 1 day less recovery since their semi which went to extra-time & the mentally exhausting tension of penalties would cost Argentina.

Good on the Germans. Best team at the World Cup this time round. I was also baffled by the Lavezzi sub because he looked the most threatening for the Argies. Great finish from Gotze to win the game. To be able to bring of quality like him just shows how good the German team is.

Best team at the tournament won it no doubt but I thought Argentina had the better chances

Argentina played better and better, but I am not satisfied with the forwards, especially Aguero, if Di Maria didn't get hurt, this Argentina team may win as 1986. But without Di Maria, they played like 1990.

Best quote of the World Cup, some German fan in Adelaide said beating Argentina was revenge for the 1990 defeat, hmmmmm

If he was East German he wouldn't have had a reason to celebrate in 1990.

Once again the Germans have won a WC match when their Goalkeeper should have been sent off.

Nuer's deliberate hit on Higuain(?) was in the box and was a clear foul - the Argentine had his eye's fully on the ball and was cleaned up by the 'keeper - therefore it should have been a RED CARD and PENALTY!

Of course referee's are not allowed to send German players off at WC's. :?:

I also felt that Sweinsteiger should have been booked for time wasting on two occasions in the last 10 minutes as he milked every second of time he could by faking injury.

He was also faking injury and appeared to be in agony when the final whistle blew and he immediately made an instant recovery and ran around like a chook with it's head cut off. :x :x :x

at first glance i would have agreed with Nuer but when you see the replay he had eyes for the ball and as goalies are protected species he was just doing his job, unlike the dirty Schumacher from years ago

It wasn't Shumacher he was a decent 'keeper it was someone else.

If it's the incident I am thinking off it was Schumacher.
Whose buttons can I press today?

Surely has to be talking about the 1982 Battiston incident? Then it is Schumacher.
