Can you recall him doing anything as reprehensible as biting someone. If not then why bring it up. Take him out of it and the indiscretion is still unchanged, could have been the cleanest most law-abiding player that he bit, still doesn't make a scrap of difference.

So Chiellini has never pulled an opposition player's hair, elbowed them in the face, taken their legs out with no intention of playing the ball, climbed all over them with his hands and arms, simulated an injury ??? ....depends what you define as reprehensible....I do not condone what Chiellini does repeatedly any more than what Suarez appears to have done in this instance.
The big fault is with the officials (and FIFA itself) allowing these players to get away with more and more of these kinds of behaviours year after year....seems that they have become intimidated by the 'star' players and the huge amounts of money involved in the game.

I'm a Napoli supporter and believe me I am no Chiellini fan but you are deluded if you are comparing some of what he does to Suarez bite this morning.

Comparison is my prerogative....pulling hair, biting and scratching are usually bundled together....no different in my mind to hitting a player who is focussed on the ball from behind with no intention of playing the ball...in the same category as the 'king hit' to me....regardless of who it is.

It appears that you can take the man out of the street, but never the street out of the man. Under pressure he reverts to type, but that will to do anything to win is what makes him a great player.

If FIFA ban him for say 6 months, it will be from any sanctioned matches, so I think Liverpool fans are very hopeful if they think this won't affect the EPL games.

What bite marks? I have seen a lot of images going around on social media sites with photoshopped 'bite marks'. They aren't real. I can't believe have gullible people are. Look in the normal game time. Absolutely no bite marks there.
