They seem to have loads of midfielders and defenders now, but only one recognised forward in Sturridge.

Would you like to buy Harry Kane?

This Eric Dier kid sounds alright, hopefully he can compete for a spot in the back 4

We also still have Borini for now (LFC may hold off moving him on until a replacement is sorted). Sterling can play alongside a target man as well, and so could Jordan Ibe.

A bit early for top 4 predictions for me yet, a month of frantic wheeling and dealing still to come. Bookies are usually around the mark and they all seem to favour Chelsea for this season. I really hope Mourinho doesn’t get it though, anyone but him. Gunners are well worth a look at 6-1, get in before Khedira signs up.

Chelsea 15-8
Manchester City 12-5
Manchester United 9-2
Arsenal 6-1
Liverpool 11-1
Tottenham 50-1
Everton 100-1

Burnley and surprisingly QPR favourites to go down.

Lambert is decent but he is back up to Sturridge and I can't imagine them on the field together too much. Sturridge is 1. and Lambert is 2. and I consider Borini 4. therefore we need a 3, although I believe that could be Markovic.

Sturridge, Lambert, Markovic, Borini? That's putting a lot of faith into Daniel Sturridge, who doesn't yet have the complete game to play at the standard he'd need to play to lead the line all season. Very few do. I think Raheem Sterling could also play up top alongside someone if we need to, late in matches.

As long as Sterling, Phillipe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson are helping those strikers out we'll be OK. Those guys need to grab life by the balls and step it up this season, they're all very talented and now have the chance to do some special things. Also Emre Can and Suso, hopefully they make their impact.

You can cross Rodwell off that list now, left for that very reason

I can't believe he went there in the first place. 6 months before he left Everton he was on the bench for them.

Rumour mentioned during the LFC vs BVB game, Falcao to LFC...
This would be an awesome transfer, especially with how solid the back line (Lovren esp) and holding midfielders looked. Adding Falcao to a combo of Studge/Sterling/Coutinho/Lallana/Markovic/Lambert would be an amazing prospect that will quell the "no one left to help Studge" talk.

Possible move for Alonso to come back home. Would be a dream of his to play with his son and his son's other father.

Do Man U fans feel that 60mil pounds on one midfielder is the answer to your defensive problems? I know a lot of them getting all hyped up about the transfer, but seriously, it'll be like Arsenal, too top heavy. Both teams are missing at least one more CB and a proper holding mid.

Erik Lamela looked good last night, may start to prove all the doubters from last year wrong, especially if he can continue to for a working partnership with Eriksen. Both very good technically, very similar to how Hazard and Oscar operate at Chelsea. Spurs will certainly be on the heels of a top four finish, if not getting in there is MP can continue what he has shown with this squad.
Spurs may jump in to 4th and see Arsenal and, for a second season, Man U out of the UCL.

Would no UCL see the end of LVG or Wenger at their respective clubs?
