Interesting assessment to make in the preseason.
All these Utd fans have swagger back from pre-season.
Corner, turned.

When did Spurs sell their best player and then buy replacements?
Whats wrong with you?
Its either indigestion or this forum, and I hope its indigestion
Why?
Because at least I know that will get better in a little while

Correct!!..Spurs bought all or most of their players 'before' Bale was sold..

I'm comparing the buying not the selling. Don't know or care when Bale was sold, I don't take much notice of feeder clubs.

Wouldn't mind knowing what Koeman thinks of it all - did he take the job knowing/expecting an exodus or did he think that these players would be available for him?

Surely for the wage he would demand they wouldn't just pull the rug from under him.

Yet you sold Ronaldo, to a bigger club.

You are the feeder team now, to CL clubs. get used to it.

You spent 28m on an uncapped player.

Bug names won't goto you until you are back in the big time.

You, sir are a nice person.

If they signed every player they 'wanted' according to the media, half the footballers on the planet would be signed up.

Surely Man U fans and Arsenal fans are still a little concerned about their lack of class defenders?
S. De Vrij has reportedly joined Lazio for 8.5m pounds. Surely he would have been a perfect fit for either team, especially at that price. As a LFC supporter, I wish we'd sold Skrtel and bought De Vrij, especially at that price.
Apparently Man U have to pay 60m to get Hummels, surely 8.5m for a World Cup semi finalist would have been a target? Especially with the LVG connections?

It so far looks like Man City and Chelsea will be the front runners.
LFC will need to have their new players gel quickly to avoid being the Spurs of 2014/15.
Arsenal and Man U have great attacking players, but need a defender or 2 to be able to compete with the above 3 teams when they square off against each other.
Spurs could be a dark horse if they have learnt from last year, and the players and manager are all on the same page. Could they do a LFC with only the Europa to maybe deal with if they want to take it seriously.
Everton will be in the Europa mix, but only if they can replace/sign Lukaku.
If Soton quickly spend the 100m they have received on some good team players then they could make an impact, but only if Schniederlin and Rodriguez are still there.
Newcastle will always depend on how Mike Ashley spends his money. They have a decent squad on paper, probably need a better manager than Pardew though to go to the next level.
The rest are looking to avoid relegation / spoil the party for the top tier.

Prediction:
1/ Man City
2/ Chelsea
3/ Liverpool
4/ Man Utd

Top Goal Scorer:
Aguero or Sturridge

Player of the Year:
Hazard

Young Player of the Year:
Barkley

Possible "flop" based on transfer fee and reported wages:
Luke Shaw (a lot of pressure for that fee and reported 100k+ per week wages on the 18 year old, especially with Evra gone)

And he’s kicked the hornet’s nest on footballnews by putting Arsenal outside the top 4!
But but but they won the title already!
LOL

City and Chelsea, have standout squads. Arsenal better squad than Liverpool. And United will not make top 4 unless they do something about that defence. It could be a real implosion with an OCD manager like Van Gaal and the pressure cranked up. Don’t expect that to happen early though, their start is dreamy.

City
Arsenal
Chelsea
Liverpool

My top 4 pick in that order, think this season will bring out the worst in Mourinho.

€7 million is good business but he's a nut.

Remember Strootman picked Roma ahead of Man Utd last season so yes they have lost some of their shine

Comparing Spurs last season to Liverpool this season is just more terrible trolling from the old, old people on this forum, who should've expired 25 years ago, when they started losing their hair!!
