Very entertaining game this morning. Benfica 2 Juventus 1. Much more interesting than that horrible Atletico v Chelsea Champions League game midweek.

Tevez's great away goal should mean Juve do the job back home and make the Europa Cup Final in their own stadium.

Chiellini could have equalised right at the end but sliced his left-foot effort woefully.

Minor observations: No man on the post when conceding Benfica's early goal from a corner. And why the change from Juve's classic black and white stripes to gold and blue? There was no colour clash with Benfica's red and white.

Very disappointing to lose, but we got a crucial away goal, so all to play for next week. First goal was shocking from Bonucci, the second an absolute cracker. Should have got an equaliser at the end with two good chances spurned.

Terrible, terrible effort from Bonucci for the first goal. Tevez finish was class. Chiellini should have squared that ball that he sliced and Marchisio could have scored 1v1 but we're still in with a big chance.

You wouldn't even have known Vucinic was on the pitch until he sort of came to life in the second half. We missed Vidal in the middle as well.

If we can get Arturo back by next week and put Llorente back up top with Tevez - there's no reason why we can't get the result we need back home in front of our fans.

Llorente was benched in favour of Vucinic because both Garay and Luisao are big, strong guys, so Conte wanted players a bit more mobile. You could see it in the set pieces too - a lot of corners for example had some variation other than aiming for the penalty spot. I wonder then if we'll see Giovinco start alongside Tevez.

Well done Benfica, they were defensively superb. We played into their hands, especially after half-time. Hopefully we learn from this.

I think Juventus was too predictable. Benfica could've play better in the counter, there was a few opportunities to do.

I think benfica coach (Master JJ) knew better what Juventus can do than COnte knew about Benfica.

Commiserations to the Juve supporters. Hoped they would make the Europa Final in their own stadium, which would have had an incredible atmosphere.

I watched the game on Setanta and really thought Juve would run over the top of them when Benfica went down to 10 men then 9. But the giant Luisao was magnificent in defence.

Arturo Vidal was unlucky with the header cleared off the line. Pogba is a good player, but kept checking inside on his right foot instead of powering to the line for cut-backs.

Vidal was also unlucky to be subbed IMO. He is going to cause massive headaches playing for Chile against Australia.

Anyway, Juve can console themselves on Monday wrapping up the Scudetto against Atalanta.

The Bela Guttmann curse continues. Eight European finals for Benfica since he left, eight defeats.
