Benassi played a lot for Torino. Sturaro was a regular for genoa before he went to Juve

Bardi the GK was a regular at Chievo.

Interesting when you compare that the England Under 21 squad only Stone, Jenkinson, Ings , Kane and Ward-Prowse were regular EPL starters.

Were any of the Italian senior squad members picked for the U-21 championship?

There were a lot in that 15-20 bracket, like Benassi and Sturaro. Bardi started the season, but he lost his place a few months in.

Nope. Few were eligible such as Verratti and El Shaarawy but not chosen. Sturaro has been called up to the senior side before but not played.

Matteo Darmian to ManU, so Toro sign Baselli and Zappacosta from Atalanta. Not bad at all.
Rumoured to be after Hernandez from Hull, team looks stronger and more balanced than last season despite the loss of Darmian

Curious to see how Napoli looks under Sarri, seems to be a different approach in the market from them. Look forward to the Milan teams imploding despite over paying for just about everyone they have signed!!

So far Valdifiori and Armenia done and dusted

Astori and Allan should be closed in the next 48 hrs

We still need a better CB (maksimovic?)

If Higuain stays no need for any forwards or attackers

Another right back and left back given Ghoulam is about to fetch €12 million.

I can't believe that, €12 mill!!!

I think you will find that Toro will not be selling anymore of their "big" players and Maksimovic will be in the granata again.
Club is finally financially sound and President Cairo seems to be keeping his word so far.

I was hoping Juve would go for Darmian, I think he would have ticked a lot of boxes. Ah well. Still, good business by Torino to get a replacement and a promising midfielder while still retaining some cash.

I have a funny feeling that Darmian would not have been sold to Juve, he was so loved by the fans and club, I just couldn't have seen him being sold to our main rivals. That being said, there are some recent dealings and if Juve had offered 25million, who knows! I guess he was a player that every team would love to have and no surprise that ManU and bayern were so heavily linked.

If we can get Abel Hernandez or Belotti, I think it will round out the squad nicely.

Juve also building nicely, mandzukic will do well but have lost a couple too.

I think for Serie A we'll be ok. How the changes affect us in Europe, remains to be seen.

Sad to see him in a Bayern shirt, but after the service provided he will always be loved.

True Baggio 15. An aside - sorry to be a punctuation nazi, but I think it is lasts, not last's.

On Vidal - a class class player. IMO Chile would have gone even further in the 2014 World Cup if he hadn't had to have knee surgery so close to June. Was brilliant in the recent home Copa America.

On a lighter note, Arturo will be able to drive his Ferrari faster on the German autobahns than on those Chilean roads - albeit must be in a sober state.

ps Juventino - you were asking earlier why he would leave?

Great win by Juve to take a record 7th Italian Super Cup with goals from new boys Mandzukic and Dybala.
2-0 was a fair result. The pitch was horrible, more a cow paddock.

Was excited to see our new team play a competitive match after Tevez, Pirlo and Vidal left in the off season.
A good turnout for the Juventus Club Adelaide's first new season event.
New season membership is available, for details visit our FB page or visit www.juventusclubadelaide.com.au
This win brings the clubs record to 50 national trophies and ensures we are the first Italian club to reach this milestone.

33 Scudetti, 10 Coppa Italia's and 7 Italian Supper Coppa's.

Forza juve.

Many Juventini aren't good with Maths; 48 trophies won not 50!
Actually 49 if you include the serie b title won in 2006/2007

Well that was quite the anti-climatic start. Dominated all the match but couldn't put the ball away, while Udinese scored with their only shot. That will put the pressure on next week in Rome.

Don't worry, I intend to. It's been a very long time! :D

Whilst think Juve will improve and have made good signings, it will take some time to gel. No Pirlo is a massive loss. This year I think Inter and Roma will be strong and it should be tight finish hopefully .
As for Toro, Quagliarella and Baselli looking dangerous, midfield improved and defence very solid. I think top 6 is a possibility.

I don't see Torino finishing in Europe, only with the other sides strengthening. They should comfortably be top half and could push for a spot, however.
