I wouldn't put Vermaelen in there. Good on the ball, but has far too many lapses in defence. Same reason Agger isn't in that spot.

Vertonghen? I thought about him too, but couldn't put him in there with any credibility, purely because of how little I've seen of him.

I genuinely don't know half the LFC players numbers, and TBH I couldn't care what they are.

With Liverpool not doing comically bad, the guy has stopped making it. But averaging 1 point per game less than the league leaders can't be that pleasing.
