Serie A Round 3

Post by Juventino »

Chievo - Lazio
Fiorentina - Catania
Genoa - Juventus
Milan - Atalanta
Napoli - Parma
Palermo - Cagliari
Pescara - Sampdoria
Roma - Bologna
Siena - Udinese
Torino - Inter

Looks like Stroppa could already be in trouble is Pescara go winless in the next two games. The lack of patience is incredible, especially when it was the club itself who decided to hire somebody who had only previously worked in Serie C1.

What the San Paolo pitch like? I imagine it would have been worked on rigorously in the past fortnight, so it should be better than what we saw vs Fiorentina.

Caceres could get a start after returning from injury and Isla is set to be on the bench for Juve. Tricky away game at Genoa, they can be difficult to face at the Marassi.

Fiorentina v Catania could be a good one to watch if both teams get going.

Back to the normal Rai schedule, both Saturday night matches, the Sunday lunch match, main game and late game.

Palermo v Cagliari and Milan v Atalanta are the Saturday matches. Chievo v Lazio is the Sunday lunch match. Torino v Inter is the Sunday night match, but not sure about the Giostra game. I assume it will be Juve, but not sure exactly. Nothing on the Rai website so we'll have to wait and see.

Wow, what a game that was. As a spectacle it was enthralling, although some awful defending at both ends. Juve looked awful in the first half, probably the worst 45 minutes since Napoli last season. When Borriello is looking good, you know the defence is having an off day. Immobile is quality.

Carrera made the right subs after the break and they repaid him with goals. This game was a test and he passed. Giovinco looked good, Giaccherini played well too and Vucinic was critical. Then there was that save from Buffon right before the equaliser. We'll take the win, good test of character after the break, but if we defend like that on Wednesday...

Pescara...they just cannot defend. Well, at least the Adriatico will see plenty of action this season.

LOL Zeman.

Lazio just quietly going about their business. Petkovic from zero to hero, just proving that judging a new coach on pre-season results is idiotic.

Toni and Gilardino...all we need is for Iaquinta to start scoring and it will be 2006 all over along.

Little scugnizzo - brilliant for him to score at home!!!

Just quietly doing the business ATM, hard game next week to back up after Europa League game.

Watched the Juve game - agree wit you tino, but I see you fail to mention Bonucci getting the 2nd yellow he deserved and the game changes. Quite an unbelievable decision form the ref.

don't see us sacking Stroppa just yet, we had our chances last night, we hit the woodwork twice and really could've got a point.

Big game away at Bologna next week, who will be full of confidence after coming from 2-0 down!

Napoli and Lazio looking the goods thus far!

Bonucci was a disaster.
He could we have gone, Boriello should of received a yellow for simulation at least one for all the play acting. Looked like he was shot in the head several time, he did get 1 too be fair, but was up for an oscar.
