I would have liked to have seen him play a little more for England in the last few years.

not a long time coming when you have been at the top of your game for one of the best teams in the world for almost 20 years this year he started great then went down hill a bit near the end so 4 months of not being at your best is hardly a long time coming in such a long career at such a high level

Paul Scholes in a nut shell

He was one of the greats and arguably up their with the legends of English football. Never in the headlines for the wrong reasons and always there to support his team mates when in trouble. Scored some of the most memorable goals in EPL's short history, I will never forget the volley against Bradford in 2000.

Scholesy was a super player.

Also a piece of sh it for elbowing Makelele, but a star the rest of the time.
