Re: Am I taking a european spot?
It just shows what a great squad you need to be able to play one style in European games in midweek, then back it up in the frantic EPL the following weekend. United, and now Chelsea, are the only teams to have managed it well but it is a major learning curve for other teams.

Bolton played like a team posessed at the weekend, would have beaten most sides in Europe the way they playedPinturicchio wrote:bolton would take points off of inter these days

Its tough ask backing up after ECL into EPL and will take time, plus you need a big squad with depth as well.

Re: Am I taking a european spot?
its clear Spurs wanna make an impression in Europe and thats where most of their focus is, Which has been Liverpool's problem in the past under Rafa. The league is what the fans want more than anything in the EPL

Re: Am I taking a european spot?
I'm not sure that's true tbh. I think it's just that Harry had a lot of injuries (Defoe, King, Dawson, VdV, Lennon all out, with Huddlestone and Jenas carrying knocks) so he was forced into a makeshift midfield and imo he picked the wrong man to play up front against a team like Bolton. As Liverpool have found out, lose two or three of your best players and it's a struggle, which is why I think City will win something this year or next - they can afford to carry a massive squad of quality players.Red-4-Life wrote:its clear Spurs wanna make an impression in Europe and thats where most of their focus is, Which has been Liverpool's problem in the past under Rafa. Re: Am I taking a european spot?
just a quick question. Why are tottenham great in europe they only beat inter once i dont know if every one remembers or not but in the first game regardless of bales hatrick they still conceded 4 goals in a half and lost and have only won one more game in europe which was at home to hardly great in europe if you ask meMUFCBOY wrote:The liverpooh of 5 yrs ago... He means they're better in Europe than domestically. The one and only wrote:just a quick question. You'd think Inter would be a top 4 side in the EPL at a minimum. ( they are also the reigning Euro champions, who have been weakened only by a new coach).

Spurs are in a spot of bother at the moment managing their squad at the moment. Really need to sort out the issues at the back.

Mourinho won all his trophies won by early Novmber last year. FACT.
Re: Am I taking a european spot?
Both of your previous statements are false.
Rafa is a very good coach, as evidenced by his results at Valencia and Liverpool.
Mourinho did not have every trophy wrapped up by November! If Roma and Milan had not choked points in the final 5 weeks of the season, they would have won the Scudetto.
