If it was officially announced, there would be something on at least one sports website, if not the Football Australia site. Sounds like it's merely a rumour, especially if you can't tell me when and/or where.topgun-jimmy-aufcs wrote:Steelinho wrote:When/where/source? I call BS.

Well that's journalism at its best. Definitely a confirmation; there's no longer any doubt in my mind.topgun-jimmy-aufcs wrote:he said that England would love to have a go in the last game sometime next season!

Re: England vs Socceroo's...in Australia....in a Friendly 2
here yah go bro.......
England may visit Australia Grantley Bernard From: Herald Sun September 28, 2010 12:00AM
THE Socceroos could be in the mix to host England in a friendly next year.
England will play Thailand in Bangkok in June and there is speculation coach Fabio Capello's team may extend the trip for one more game in the Asia-Pacific region, making Australia, Japan and South Korea potential opponents.
The Guardian website yesterday reported tentative discussions had been held about adding another friendly to the trip, which follows a European Championship qualifier against Switzerland on June 4.
The report said the English Football Association had privately indicated it would want to stay within southeast Asia. While playing in Australia was not out of the question, it was not a preferred destination.
Dates are also a possible barrier to a Socceroos-England game with Football Federation Australia looking at June 1 and 4 for friendlies, which would clash with England's qualifier.
"We have regular contact with the English FA and have had various discussions over the years about the two nations playing again," an FFA spokesman said last night.
"To meet the schedule (suggested) it would mean playing on June 10 or 11 and that may not suit our plans.
"We would always be interested in a rematch with England either here in Australia or in Europe."
Opposition from the Premier League clubs is another sticking point that could prevent England adding an extra game.
The clubs would prefer their stars resting during the off-season rather than traipsing across the world to risk injury in meaningless friendlies.
SOCCEROOS boss Holger Osieck will today name his squad for Saturday week's friendly against Paraguay in Sydney.
Veteran Harry Kewell could be in contention after coming off the bench for the last 30 minutes of Galatasaray's 3-1 win against Istanbul Buyuksehir BSK in the Turkish Super Lig yesterday.
MELBOURNE Heart captain Simon Colosimo should be fit to face Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park on Friday week, despite leaving the field with a neck problem during Saturday's loss to Brisbane Roar.
The defender has carried the problem in recent games.
NORTH Queensland midfielder Ufuk Talay has received a two match suspension for an off-the-ball incident during Fury's game in Wellington on Friday night.
Talay appeared to collect Phoenix striker Chris Greenacre with an elbow in the 13th minute in an incident that escaped the referee's attention.

May, could, speculation. All words that show that it is NOT official, as I've already stated.

Who's Shaun?
You said it was announced. It wasn't, it's merely speculation.
EDIT: Also, the article says that it's likely to NOT be played in Australia, so the thread title's wrong.

I'm already going to thailand for that game.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Oh and add in
Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

Clearly not the case when England is playing/has even the slimmest chance of winning.Bomber wrote:But it's only a friendly? I thought they were insignificant?Hawkesy wrote:I'm already going to thailand for that game.

of course they are, not full strength sides, new tactics, formations etc. However, I have seen England play away at rugby and cricket but never football. Decent excuse for a week on the piss in Thailand as well.

done that at old and new wembley, also seen them at Old Trafford as well (does that count as away?). I really want to see them at Millenium when they play the sheep shaggers, will be weird not wanting a Millwall player to score.
I'll rephrase for you, I want to see them play outside of England.
