World Cup Tipping Competition
I've come across a sports website which has a world cup tipping
competition. It's a South Australian based site.
It's free to join and the prizes are pretty good. For
those interested go to:

I'd like to tip USA, Algeria and Slovenia.

You may be joking, but don't forget the USA was leading Brazil in last year's Confederations Cup Final 2-0. Sure, they ended up losing, but somehow they made the final.grouse n' ice wrote:I'd like to tip USA, Algeria and Slovenia.

I checked out the prizes myself 1st prize $1500.

Algeria are at the back of the field as far as Centrebet and other betting agencies go.grouse n' ice wrote:I'd like to tip USA, Algeria and Slovenia.
I think in the 500/1 plus range.
Re: World Cup Tipping Competition
What chance do you give Greece of making the knockout stage? With the same coach as in Euro 2004,I'll be tipping draws in whatever games Greece plays.Golden Greek wrote:I've come across a sports website which has a world cup tipping

Hey Golden Greek, does your silence mean you give Greece no chance?
Re: World Cup Tipping Competition
With 2 draws on day 1, only 5 tipsters out of around 200 picked 2 out of 2.Golden Greek wrote:I've come across a sports website which has a world cup tipping

That means its still worth entering the comp, as you wouldn't have lost much ground.
For me, Greece and Korea will draw, making it 3 draws from as many games this Cup. Has that ever happened in the World Cup
before?
Re: World Cup Tipping Competition
The jabulani ball will put many of the good teams off their game. Expect a lot of funny results.
A tipsters nightmare.

Can you still join the tipping competition or is it too late?kmaau wrote:The jabulani ball will put many of the good teams off their game. Expect a lot of funny results.

Tipsters would have been lucky to get 1 right overnight.Golden Greek wrote:I've come across a sports website which has a world cup tipping

But USA was robbed - no doubt.
About time FIFA made refs publicly accountable for those decisions which directly influence a match.
A friend told me that Martin Tyler said as much overnight during the England game.
The yellow card that the ref gave to the USA player in the first half for handball was a disgrace - now the player misses a game.

The betting agencies would be laughing with the results this World Cup.reflex wrote:Tipsters would have been lucky to get 1 right overnight.Golden Greek wrote:I've come across a sports website which has a world cup tipping
