Kewell's agent plays down link

Post by delfino_1936 »

Harry Kewell's agent has talked down the reports that have linked the Socceroo to a move to Tottenham.

Spurs are in need of a wide midfielder, and Kewell has been linked with a move to White Hart Lane.

The London club have already seen a bid for England international Stewart Downing scuppered, with the Spurs offer falling below Boro's valuation of the winger.

Another option for Tottenham is Lyon's Hatem Ben Arfa who has good wraps on him from the current French champions.

Kewell's agent Bernie Mandic has poured cold water on the rumours, with Mandic describing the stories as speculatory at best.

"There has never been a single word from anyone at Liverpool about Harry leaving," Mandic told The Independent.

Spurs to bid £5M for Liverpool winger Kewell

Tottenham are offering £5 million to Liverpool for injury-plagued winger Harry Kewell.
The Sun says White Hart Lane boss Martin Jol believes he can do a job for the Londoners and Kewell would welcome a move as his career has hit a stumbling block on Merseyside.

Liverpool are happy to get the player's ?60,000-a-week contract off their wage bill and are seeking around £5 million for the attacker.

I reckon Brett Emmerton would fit into Spurs line-up better than Kewell.

He is a lot more versatile than H and less prone to injury.

eventually harry will go. but liverpool might be thinking to wait a bit, perhaps see how is injury goes. That way they can get more money from him, especially if he is well enough to start some games for liverpool.

i think that it is a smart idea for them to wait its like a win win situation if he gets fit and plays well they will keep him as he is class if he doesnt play well they will sell him and get more than they would get now like i said win win
