I’ve seen a lot of games and on the quality of play so far, Arsenal will lead the next pack of 5 clubs for second place if they can hold on to Sanchez & Ozil.
As for Arsenal, they rode their luck and got decisions in their favour for a few games, but that won't sustain a challenge for long. I think United will be second, purely because Mourinho will make them hard to beat and they have an exceptional keeper, but they won't be pretty to watch.

Simply because they've managed to score more than the opposition, but they always look likely to let one in, even against average teams.Nicky_Tanner wrote:If they're very beatable why has no one done it!Nice One Cyril wrote:I'd agree that nobody's going to catch City now, especially given the depth of their squad, but they're very beatable because their defence is so average.Con M wrote:Well, that’s that then. Talking about rubbish defenders, what about Dejan Lovren? The softest of soft penalties, but what a pillock even touching a player going away in the box.

I like Klopp and I think he's a good coach, but what a whinger, if it doesn't go his way it's always the ref's fault.

Maybe he's trying the Fergie/Mourinho/Wenger approach as it often worked for them (after a while). :wink:Nice One Cyril wrote:Given your result against West Brom, I see what you mean.Nicky_Tanner wrote:Liverpool are where they are due to having some avaerage players. if we had better players Spurs wouldn't even be in touching distance of us!Nice One Cyril wrote:

Fair play, Man City much too good for Spurs this morning, outnumbered, outworked and outplayed them with KDB the shining star in midfield.
Not too fussed about the score, they were always likely to punish us as we pushed forward, but the game had long gone before that.

Have just listened to that idiot Tim Sherwood saying that if Pep Guardiola was managing Tottenham, he would win the Premier League with their current players. What a load of tosh, I'd love to see him get Sissoko to play football.

First away win (and biggest score) in the EPL for Huddersfield, two goals to Mooy and great away support.... Watford ( 1 ) Huddersfield Town ( 4 )

Sarcasm is unwarranted Mr Tanner. Anyone who thinks that Otamendi and Mangala are good defender are deluding themselves, but City's midfield made it hard to get at them. As always in football, goals change games and we gave a very good team a complete gift early on, but until their second went in it was still very much game on.Nicky_Tanner wrote:But why didn't you attack them more and score more through their dodgy defence?Nice One Cyril wrote:Fair play, Man City much too good for Spurs this morning, outnumbered, outworked and outplayed them with KDB the shining star in midfield.

I see your flat track bullies managed another win, you'd better hope Coutinho wants to stay.

I couldn't care about Couthino TBH. If we are flat track bullies how come we have lost 2 games, and you have lost 5? Lucky for you we had a really off day at Wembley.....Nice One Cyril wrote:Sarcasm is unwarranted Mr Tanner. Arsenal v Liverpool 6.15am this Saturday morn 23 December (Adelaide time). Could be quite a shootout with both defences not being at their best this season.
The Arkaba Hotel’s “Alex” said they are definitely showing the game on their big screen and putting on bacon ‘n’ egg breakfast and coffee (or beer).
Could be a long long Saturday with the Real v Barca classico on @ 10.30pm.

TBF Koscielny was very unlucky with the actual goal, he did everything right, forcing the one footed Salah to try a little poke with his left, but the Arsenal defence has looked shaky every time Liverpool go forward.
Neither Sanchez nor Ozil look particularly interested, leaving Wilshere to play on his own, they miss Ramsay.
PS Liverpool look much better without Henderson, Milner's been quite solid.

Very happy with a stalemate. Can't say it wasn't entertaining, but Jeez, how bad were the defences and keepers?
It should be fun listening to Klopp and Wenger trying to explain this game. No doubt it will be the referee's fault

Great game for the neutrals! Typical Arsenal v Liverpool game in recent years. Poor defending by both teams, could of easily been more goals in it.Nice One Cyril wrote:Very happy with a stalemate. Can't say it wasn't entertaining, but Jeez, how bad were the defences and keepers?

On a side note, time to let Sanchez go in Jan. Doesn't look interested at all. Ozil on the other hand we need to lock him down and give him whatever he wants

Ozil's a real strange one, can be the best player on the pitch, but can equally disappear without trace. Does he do enough in every game? Not for me, he's a bit of a luxury player.

Fantastic goals by Wilshere & Bellerin in the 2-2 versus Chelsea.
How bloody bad have penalty decisions been recently against Arsenal?
Having said that, Chambers & Holding just HAVE to improve as central defenders otherwise all of Arsenal’s scintillating midfield & forward play will continue to be undone.

Did Bellerin get the ball? No. Did Bellerin kick Hazard? Yes. Was it sufficient contact to warrant that falling over? Not IMO, but I can see why the ref gave it as a foul. Defenders have to learn when to tackle because players fall over very easily in the box.Con M wrote:Fantastic goals by Wilshere & Bellerin in the 2-2 versus Chelsea.

Referee sucked in. Did you watch the match live? Hazard was clutching his shin and rolling around as if it had been broken. Then up he jumped to take the gimme penalty. It’s time like this which make me re-think VAR. But only if it can be faster, much faster..

So, you'll have a go at Hazard for going over easily, but nothing about Wilshere's blatant attempt to draw a foul with a dive? Hypocritical much? You're sounding like the Whinger Wenger.Con M wrote:Wot? Is this a bit of damning with faint praise, Not Nice Cyril?Nice One Cyril wrote:Did Bellerin get the ball? No. Did Bellerin kick Hazard? Yes. Oh FFS, West Ham haven't had a single shot, never mind one on target, and they go and score a worldy from 30 yards.
