Read that now. Wasn't sure at the time though as it was on an Australian website.

I see there are some issues arising about the involvement of a gambling body being involved in the deal to bring Rooney in.
The older I get the better I was.

Millwall have just released their aussie. Meredith left by mutual consent.

There's a rumour abound about his wrong doing but nothing official yet.

No results updates from ozzie/English owl/comet/king/United.

Wonder how Wednesday got on? Surely they didn't lose to a team who played half the game with 10 men.

A few names being mentioned

Roy Keane
Chris Hughton
Alex Rae
Paul Ince

I'd like it to be Muscat.

Penalty/red card appears to be a big moment in the game.

Watched it a few times now and can't make my mind up. I'm sure if I was a leeds fan though, my mind would be made up.

I can see from the refs angle why he may have given the penalty but I still wouldnt have given for the dive after. I thought it was only yellow if its in the box so to me (as a Leeds man) it was double stuff up. These things happen in games and over the course of a season so its just about getting on with it. In saying that I believe Leeds are going to appeal the red card.

It's still a red card in certain circumstances. Can't remember the exact wording but it's along the lines of it being a deliberate foul then it's still a red.

The ref must have thought it was deliberate foul - umm?

The previous 'triple-punishment' rule required a red card - and therefore a suspension - as well as the award of a penalty under those circumstances. However, players committing accidental fouls that deny a goalscoring chance will now be cautioned instead. But deliberate fouls will still incur a red card.

Question would be whether there was cover or not. Obviously it was deemed the other defender was at least there as cover or that the contact was "accidental".

My question was if the defender even touched or even touched the attacker hard enough to warrant a penalty in the first place.

If that was ruling then Bradshaw will be charged. As he hasn't been I assume they ruled about the red card and not the "dive". There certainly isn't enough evidence to prove there was no contact.
