Liverpool vs Chelsea

Post by BTAC »

Thoughts, predicitons, discussion..whatever.

Liverpool are without Mascherano due to suspension and perhaps Aurelio who has picked up an injury apparently.

So I think we'll see this side start things off:

--------------Reina--------------
-Arbeloa-Carra-Skrtel-Dossena-
-Kuyt---Lucas--Alonso---Riera-
------------Gerrard--------------
-------------Torres---------------

Liverpool to win 1-0 first leg and 2-0 in second leg. They are very strong atm.

I didn't think Insua was in the CL squad..though I could be wrong.
Even so, I think Rafa would opt with Dossena in such a big game. Don't get me wrong, Insua hasn't put a foot wrong in any of the games he's played for us and I really rate the kid..I just think Rafa would play the more experienced Dossena.

Of course I'd much rather Aurelio is declared fit..because he's been one of our best players in the big games this season.

Here's to hoping we get a result, or at least a goal away from home in the first leg...

now that I've said that, Gerrard will probably pop up and win it 1-0 for them in the 98th minute

IMO....

I think Rafa wont play Dossena at LB anymore....last few games he's played him a LM so if Fabio's not fit I think Insua will play.

But is Insua in the CL squad? I posted about this earlier..but nobody has confirmed whether he is or isn't in the squad..I wouldn't have a problem seeing Insua at LB. I think he could definitely do the job, but Riera would have to be at LM in front of him..Babel is too attacking to play there..especially with Bosingwa as their RB.

Okay just checked out Lfc.tv and theres a photo special of the lads training for the CL game. Insua is in those pictures, so I guess he is in the squad.

So he isn't in the squad then..? Hmm thats weird. Oh well, I guess if Aurelio isn't fit it has to be Dossena at LB.
Hopefully Fabio will be alright though..

Likewise for me with Uni..
I would've had to miss the last 20 mins or so had the kick off been at 6 am.

we were minging this morning and got what we deserved, we were defending like we had g.neville in our back 4, some really awful stuff.

no-one has been good, so not going to pick on anyone in particular, except for lucas, who, even though he gets caught doing it everyweek, still thinks he has 4 hours on the ball. can't believe how often he gets caught in possession and loses the ball. he's one ordinary player, does nothing defensively or offensively, why could Mascha have played?

on a normal day, those first two goals from chelsea probably wouldn't have been scored, but tough titties, they were scored. can't see us scoring 3+ at Stamford but stranger things have happened.

Lucas was one of our better players this morning...
Him and Torres were the only ones that looked remotely decent.

Skrtel looked like shiraz Bramble out there..Dunno what was going on there..
But, you can't win them all..Don't worry though, we're only 1 leg in. 90 minutes remaining, possibly more

Jeez what a result

Im a neutral but all i have to say is well done Essien. He completely cut out gerrard all game and was totally non-existant.

I do not think that one of Fabio Aurelios passes went to feet.

Oh and Lucas please do not try and shoot ever again.

Carlsberg have stumped up the money for a reward for information that leads to the successful location of Liverpool's captain who went missing in the Anfield area last night.

You are really a silly little c*nt. Look at Neville's medal haul and then look at Gerrard's. His brother Phil hasn't won a trophy in 5 years and he's probably still won more than Stevie G.

Jimbob - G Neville has those medals because of the players he has been allowed to play next to - Giggs, Scholes, Kanchelskis, Cantona, Yorke, Cole etc

Soon you will be telling us that John O'Shea and Wes Brown are world class too.
