Palla's going to Genoa Thursday 12 June, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talented hitman Raffaele Palladino could be just hours away from leaving Juventus for Genoa.
Despite his undoubted ability, Palladino had to accept the role of benchwarmer for much of last season and grew frustrated with a lack of first-team football.
Having lost his place in the Azzurri side ahead of Euro 2008, Palla now seems ready to quit Turin for Genoa.
“Palladino will be a Genoa player and it will all be done in a few hours,” Genoa President Enrico Preziosi said on Radio Kiss Kiss.
“He has cost us a fortune, but we have such belief in this player.”
Genoa are also looking at Napoli defender Maurizio Domizzi, as they look to strengthen for a UEFA Cup push.
“Domizzi is another player we are very interested in and we are hoping to bring him here soon,” Preziosi revealed.
“Our objective for next season is to improve and to consolidate the success of the past year.”
One man who has been tipped for a Marassi exit is French stopper Abdoulay Konko, who is in Inter’s sights, but Preziosi has refuted such talk.
“I can totally rule out Konko joining Inter,” he barked. “I really didn’t like the Nerazzurri’s approach. He would only leave for a huge sum.”

Sorpresa Palladino: salta l'accordo col Genoa
couldnt agree terms with genoa,,,napoli & samp join the race.

Palladino's Genoa Move Is Off
Raffaele Palladino’s move to Genoa has gone up in smoke after the player snubbed the Rossoblu according to Tuttomercatoweb.
The Juventus striker was on the verge of joining the port-city side only for the move to collapse last minute.
Just hours ago, Genoa president Enrico Preziosi, seemed confident that Palladino was their man.
However, in a twist to the transfer, Palladino has decided not to go to the Grifoni.
Tuttomercatoweb claims that Sampdoria have hijacked the deal by offering Palladino a better contract and better wage packet in order to stop their cross town rivals from landing him.
Napoli have also raised eyebrows as the player, for now, will not be moving anywhere.
Genoa finished mid-table last term following their return to the big time from Serie B. The club is currently looking to strengthen as they try and mount a challenge next season but it seems as if they will need to up their stakes if they are to land promising players.
Palladino is one of Serie A’s up and coming stars but it seems as if the Grifoni have missed out on he player following Samp’s assault on the deal.

Re: Palladino to Genoa
Marino has said that we could ahve ahd Palladino, but the player wanted to be guaranteed first team football regularly, and we could not give him that...
I think he may end up at Napoli, hopefully on-loan, after he rejected Genoa...
if we play UEFA cup, we'll need as many quality players as possible so would be a welcome addition

Sampdoria will get Palladino. Him & Cassano would be an awesome strikeforce as Bonazzoli is looking to return to Reggina.
