i would think it would look something like this, with some players not playing in their best position to fit them in.

tried to make a farely balanced squad of 16. don't think i missed anyone, some tough positions to fill. i know they are from the big 4 but other than anelka i struggle to find any players to fit in to that squad.

Bale is good, but nothing compared to Evra, Sagna Vidic and many more
Ireland? Better than Essien you reckon? he isn't even the best midfielder for Man City IMO Pertov and Elano are better
Jones will be class but give him years. Do you really think he is better than Drogba? Torres? Berbatov? RVP? Adebayor? Anelka? I could go on and on

Vidic is much better than Jamie IMO

Don't think drogba combines well with another out and out striker! Good midfield with both Sanga and Evra to provide the width or Ronaldo drift into these areas!

Is this the best team, or the best 11 individuals? I can't believe more havent got Torres in, and Agger is better than Carra (not saying either should be in the team).

I know he has only been with us for a few months but I really think Torres is the best striker LFC have had since the King.

How can you have Carragher in there? He's not even in England's best XI, let alone an EPL XI where he'd compete against Carvalho, Vidic, Toure among others.

Surprised I don't see any love for Cahill either. Best goal-scoring midfielder in the premiership at moment, in my opinion, and his return to Everton has led to their best run of form for ages.

I agree with the Carragher bit.
I think the reason no-one has Cahill is because there is to many quality center midfielders in the Prem. Fabregas, Gerrard Essien Hargreaves Lampard Xavi Alonso etc..

I like your side 10... mine would've been pretty much identical except for Elano - his presence and influence on Man City this year as well as all that ability mean i'd probably want him in my side - but who the hell do you take out amongst that squad?

too tough to call, its even between drogba and rooney but i chose drogba over him.
and yea jussi and green better than cech, noone pays any attention to them but they are fantastic. united said they will sign him as number 1 when van der sar decides to hang up the boots. cech is good but this season green and jussi have proven better thus far
