ATTENTION: Fans of SSC Napoli

Post by born slippy »

by now you would've all made plans for Sunday night to watch arguably the biggest game in Napoli's recent history. bbq, beers, big screens the works.... and hopefully the night will end in promotion for our beloved Napoli!
i think all napoli fans should organise to meet at a pre-determined place after the game to celebrate promotion, should we win!! ideally somewhere in town and somewhere we can drink!!!
any suggestions????

Is Campagnia Club showing the game?? They have a nice big screen over there. Get the old ladies to crank out the pizza as well.

Great idea! I'm up for that

RAI havent confirmed on their website if they are showing it yet.

to check, go to: http://www.international.rai.it

but, in Italy, RAI are showing the game to people in Campania only.

so that could be a positive for RAI International.

back on to meeting somewhere, would be a good idea.

This could be the first step to the inaugural NAPOLI CLUB - ADELAIDE!!

I know Campania Club were looking to set up a youth group a couple of years ago. This could be something that they may be interested in. They want to attract more young people to the club - us Napoli supports want somewhere to meet and possibly watch games.....

PEOPLE!!!!!!

have you all forgotten to take your meds?

whats with this fascination of attending cultural clubs all of a sudden!

i realise its about getting as many people together but are we taking certain things into consideration?

4ft tall / 4ft wide mothers cooking fatty foods forcing 10%sausage90%bread down our throats saying you must eat, you must eat, you must get fat.

ladies wiping our chins from that napoletana sauce running down our face from the half penne/beef ravioli while were trying to see a corner being taken.

general old people smell.

continental cakes from 2 weeks old.

sitting on cold plastic chairs for 2 hours.

our forefathers finding giordano and careca prints from 20 years ago and banging them into the walls while the game is on.

old men walking in front of the screen coz its theyre right and coz they can do whatever the shiraz they wana.

explaining to the chocks why napoli are not playing in blue (which they will) and who theyre playing against for that matter.

screaming children being annoying.

girlfriends and wifes coming along for the ride and not wanting to be really there but they attend so that their partners dont end up at a tit bar at the end of the nite.

giacamo's sisters boyfriends uncles nephews 11th birthday taking precedent in the front half of the hall.

high ceilings.

OH YEAH and it would probably be somewhere in the eastern suburbs...... not that theres anything wrong with that. I love travelling to the BRONX now and again
:D

The altavilla club is probably the right size for you guys. Maybe they'll even do the Avellino-Foggia playoff game.

We can sing this one

Ricordo quand'ero fanciullo
Sognavo la maglia e il pallon
Guardando la curva che canta
Io provo la stess'emozion

E quando il Napoli e' in campo
Fortissimo batte il mio cuor
La voce mi trema e son certo
Il Napoli e l'unico amor!

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

although this sounds better

Ricordo ero solo un fanciullo
sognavo una maglia e un pallon
vedendo la curva che canta
io provo la stessa emozion
e quando c'è l'Ascoli in campo
fortissimo batte il mio cuor
la voce mi trema e son certo
che l'Ascoli è l'unico amor
ooooo....
su e giù per l'Italia a far del male
bianconero è il nostro colore
è meglio morire che scappare
si lotta per la fede e per l'onore
ooooo....

I'll be watching Napoli Corner tonight as a starter. Then I'll watch the game against Milan where we beat them 1-0 thanks to that Di Canio goal at San Paulo in the late 90's (the year AC were virtually un beaten). Got a few more vids that should get me entertained till Sunday.

Just called FOXTEL and got RAI connected at home!!!

You can borrow my video of the 87/88 Season when Milan beat Napoli 3-2 at the San Paolo to win the scudetto. Or you can borrow the video when Van Basten scored 4 to beat Napoli 5-1 at the San Paolo during the 92/93 season. :D :D :D
