Ref was woeful.
Ref was woeful but this is where VAR should pick up/ correct his mistakes.

If you give the first penalty then you have to give England at least two for the fouls on Kane...... and for consistency give one at every corner where theres holding/ grappling.

I thought first half is the best ive seen England play at a World cup since 98.

England's 1994 performances were better.

That's the problem with VAR, it's as inconsistent as the referees and just adds another level of incompetence. The right team won in the end.

Bomber if thats equal then the following apply:

number of goals scored in all group matches;
If two or more teams are equal on the basis of the above three criteria, their rankings are determined as follows:

points obtained in the group matches between the teams concerned;
goal difference in the group matches between the teams concerned;
number of goals scored in the group matches between the teams concerned;
fair play points
first yellow card: minus 1 point;
indirect red card (second yellow card): minus 3 points;
direct red card: minus 4 points;
yellow card and direct red card: minus 5 points;
drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee.

I say it when I think they're wrong. I also haven't said it just about every week. Now pipe down old man or I'll get the nurse to give you some more medication and turn Ed Sheeran off.

Not sure if someone’s sarcasm was at work again. I’ll explain what I meant by my use of the words “should go through”..

Belgium beat Panama.

England beat Tunisia.

Belgium next meet Tunisia, are expected to win and should go through.

England next meet Panama, are expected to win and should go through.

Expected outcomes. Would take Panama a miracle to get through England. Belgium is looking pretty decent too so I can't really expect Tunisia to make that upset.

Morocco played well but just didn't finish their chances and it doesn't help when their best chance land at the feet of their centre back all the time.

The No.5 left back for Portugal was lucky not to get sent off with all the fouls he was committing.

Played a fast pace and were unlucky at times (Morocco). That's football.

Coming 2nd in that group could look like a better draw than winning it with some of the results.
