Simple Minds

Post by thebeautifulgame »

Went to the Simple Minds' (McLaren Vale) gig this evening and though it was pissing down it was fabulous. Jim Kerr and the lads (and lassies) sure know how to entertain. Fantastic entertainment and a wonderful show. All the support acts were also decent. Staff were very happy, helpful and obliging.Well done to all for a great day. :D

 I was that delirious last night I might even have given Grosso a hug! Or then again maybe a Glasgow kiss.

Yes they certainly were- odd looking bunch but entertaining and lively. Looked like the 'chicks' were miming at times but they managed to do a decent job on the whole. Not bad for a band celebrating their 40th Anniversary! Love Shack and Rock Lobster went down well and Roam was fantastic. Full band list was Machinations, Models, B-52's and Simple Minds. Great day all round. :D
Footnote: The B-52's reminded me of the Flintstones and today found out that they done the cover for (Meet) the Flintstones movie in 1994.
