Sad.......but life goes on.

Probably have more of his music in my collection than any other artist.

RIP Sir

I saw Bowie in concert twice at Adelaide Oval, first way back in 1978.

Yeah, have one greatest hits CD of the great Bowie. Was definitely his own man and had his unique style. Big loss to music industry so soon after Stevie Wright.

Definitely a legend...I remember my brother going out to purchase his first Bowie vinyl...the Starman single....after that he seemed to purchase everything Bowie recorded and everything he was associated with (Mott The Hoople, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Scott Walker etc...)...fanatic describes my Brother's collections.
I went to the 1978 show in Adelaide via a spare ticket my Brother had...was impressed by the event and show...Bowie was a master of that...but the music-style was not something I fully appreciated.
Although he was always in the background of my early teen years through to now ( I know so many of his songs subliminally as they would be resonating from my Brother's room as I tried to go to sleep, play guitar or listen to my own music) I always perceived him as someone who was quite influenced by others (and other genres) but had the ability to sample those influences and blend them whilst creating stage personas to deliver the music...his voice was unique...you always knew it was a Bowie song from his time as David Jones through to the Black star album.
R.I.P. Mr. Jones...

This was the Hammersmith gig july 2/3 1973 a couple of weeks after the Birmingham town hall dates, and also the time he announced his retirement (Ziggy)

Caught him again on the Serious moonlight tour 1983

And in Adelaide for the reality tour in 2004
