MSSC Blue Eagles to soar once more

Post by P. Diddy »

Hot off the press is struggling amateur side MSSC Blue Eagles to sign as many as 3 quality players in the coming weeks. If the rumour is true, I'll be coming down to Marden and watching some games this year.

Aldo, might even be worth presenting these players to the fans in a shirt presentation night. :D

I can only confirm two at this stage, and one is not playing this weekend.

Molinara Social & Sports Club. It is an Italian community club located at Windsor Gardens, and is where the soccer club originated. We were formerly MSSC Newton City before moving to Marden.

A couple of new faces at training last night. Hopefully things improve for us, particularly on the injury front. We have had a really bad run with injuries over the past few years.

Having said that, we are not getting ahead of ourselves. We still need to get some results on the pitch, starting tomorrow against Raptors.

You obviously haven't seen our results. We lost the first 3 games. Last week we were terrible, but the first 2 games we dominated, and really should have won, or at the very least won 1 and drawn the other.

Unlucky result boys to get to 4-4 and lose is hard. Do u guys still play on the main pitch at Marden or do u use one of the training pitches?

Yeah tell me about it. We were 4 nil down after about 30 mins. We managed to pull it back to 4-4 before conceding a goal in virtually the last minute of the game. I still think the goal was offside, but what can you do.

And yes we still generally play on the main pitch at Marden.

i doubt it, they are losing 8 players to the world cup. just trying to get as many points as we can to avoid relegation.

Well if the Raptors need a 4 goal head start every week, then I think they are gonna be in trouble

I think the Raptors are a good side, but we have only seen four teams so far. A good ball playing side, with handy midfielders (Cip and Theo) and strikers. I think Raptors defence is a bit soft though.

I know where quite a few of the Croat boys will be...WC and Croat coast for summer. Will be a juggling act for players come mid-season.

Just read the paper looks like big bad Donny is making a come back throught the amatuers. Did he play last week Aldo? I remember playing against him back in the muddy days of Adey reserve. Was a great player for Blue eagles he will help your defense. Good luck to him.
