I would say Mullen would win the medal, Noel missed a few games this season

So the center back of the team that finished bottom and had the second worst goal difference in the league won the best player. Are they paying ref's in meth these days? Very strange outcome but congratulations to the lad!

In my opinion J Noel was the stand out player in the league but missed a few games and finished second in the vote count. Further to the above quote a further outcome was that 2 players from the bottom team finished in the top 6 of the league votes.

Im pretty sure stoneham missed 5 or 6 games as well to be honest.

3 games from suspension and then 2 or 3 games with a hamstring injury.

my point is that J Noel would had possibly pick more votes had he not missed those games and wasn't referring to the actual winner

Round 17
Thomas Stoneham (Florina) - 15
Jarred Noel (IF) - 15
Thomas Foglia (PHW) - 15
Braiden Gundlach (EDSC) -14
Michael Mullen (BL) - 12
Beau Singlewood (Florina) - 11
Luke Lawley (EDSC) - 11

Round 18
Thomas Stoneham (Florina) - 18 (3 votes BOG in a 2-1 Loss to Elizabeth Vale)
Jarred Noel (IF) - 16 (1 vote in a Loss to Brahma Lodge)
Michael Mullen (BL) - 15 (3 votes BOG in a Win against Ingle Farm)
Thomas Foglia (PHW) - 15 (0 Votes Loss to EDSC)
Braiden Gundlach (EDSC) -14 (0 Votes Win VS PHW)
Beau Singlewood (Florina) - 13 (2 Votes in a Loss to Elizabeth Vale)
Luke Lawley (EDSC) - 13 (0 Votes in a Win Vs PHW)

You can not take anything away from Thomas Stoneham he won and that's how it stands BUT is it time to stop the referees giving votes out for this award or at least instructing them to take time and thought and discuss with Linesmen etc?

Elizabeth Vale beat Florina 2-1 in the last game of the season, T.Stoneham 3 Votes, B.Singlewood 2 Votes both play for Florina (The losing side) I wasn't at the game so maybe this is correct? BUT I think its a bit odd.

Is there a better way? The coaches do a 3-2-1 (Both home coach and away coach?)

Could of been a little embarrassing for the league if Foglia was awarded 3pts in the R18 loss.

The record showed that he was not invited to the awards night  stand to be corrected.

Would be interesting to see who the referee's were for Florina's games through out the season

Round 17

Just checked Florina's Facebook page and it appears Kieran Griffiths either won or took out 3 awards (Best Player, Players award and Supporters award ??) and these are for the goalkeeper of the team that finished last and then there is Stoney getting the Division 1 medal. I am trying to see where the candid camera is hidden as I am confused and I know this isn't too hard to do!! GOOD LUCK to them both :)

Is there a link to a summary of votes for all players in Sunday Div 1 as it would be interesting to see the number of votes players received ?
