Considering 12 of the 15 players listed played first team in their last 3 games id say there is some funny business going on

In my time at Anfield we always said we had the best two teams on Merseyside - Liverpool and Liverpool reserves.

Cheating shiraz... this is where the league needs to do something about this... player dont play reserves to come up against A teams... i understand players coming back from injury or missing a cup game prior but in this case where it is easy to prove that just about the whole team played...the league should act.in the spirit of the game...

If they weren't cup tied then they are eligible to play.

Does anyone really believe that the SAASL actually check every reserves team sheet to see if any of the players are cup tied from "A" side cup games?

Three Maiwand line ups...A's Cup Round 1, As last League game and todays Reserve Cup team list.
Some of the different spellings of very similar 'surnames' seems suspect and one name is listed on both As and Reserves cup teams.
However, could be legit !

I played for an indoor football team in Perth called the Afghan Rebels. There were four brothers with very similar names.

So, is that saying that an A Jafari played in both the A's Cup team and an A Jafari also played in the Reserves Cup? Something for Downs to question.

According to sportstg, Ali Jafari played in the Round 1 A's loss, and Asif Jafari played in the Reserve cup win against Downs.

Think so, game was scheduled for Friday night.
I'm guessing pitch would have been fine for Sunday but juniors probably take priority.

That was my thinking as well, as I know a friend coaches a women's team that played there on sunday.

One of those Maiwand players was Mo Nazari, who scored 11 goals in 20 games for White City first team last season or season before.

Must be a really strong Div 3 Reserves league this season!

Seems really weird that so many players from the A team dropped down to play for the Reserves in a cup game and to have so many A grade players missed out on their senior cup game in Round 1 to be eligible for the reserves cup game is hard to fathom but I guess it has happened.

bunch of them played for fsasa on saturday too i heard :)..

We queried a player who had been suspended who played against us the very next game, and the league would not do anything about it.
