Didn't actually lose any players to the fed team aside from C grade players. Yesterday we did have about 7 players out. Need to get our act together very soon though!
Running two senior teams in amateur and fed seems to have stretched the club resources to the max and Fulham have shown that competing in just one competition with limited resources is the sensible way to go to be gradually successful and competitive.
I for one was totally against the move to federation. Did not see the point of it not to mention the costs.
Maybe the financial resource should be targeted at the Fed side whose results are improving so clearly they are at least committing and having a go?

Yes, but didn't work. Players wanted Sundays back, too many clashes with our Fed games. Just the one side hence Div 5 but wouldn't be surprised if they look to get Ressies again next season, if they can get a few extras

Success for the juniors though, at least one side already been promoted in the JPL and the season has only just begun.

Having those juniors progress is great. But eventually they will leave for other clubs to progress further if good enough. Then come back if and when they have had enough of federation football.

I was under the impression that the fed teams were very young and youngsters are being given a chance? Surely shows a pathway to the youngsters rather than go elsewhere.

Playing SL2 isn't a very enticing concept. Once kids are if the age of 14 / 15 they are being picked up for state teams and other programs anyway.

Got to start somewhere.
You would assume the long term plan when the decision was made to enter Feds is to gain promotion to higher grades.
Get the pathways right at an early age and who knows what the future could be with the amount of kids Vista have access to in the area.

I took it as a way to get certain grades at the club into the higher divisions. One of your grades won their E&D divisions easily, switched to JSL and won it easily, this season went to JPL C and were undefeated and now into JPL B and haven't lost yet either.

I saw it as more of a way to keep your junior teams together and into higher division than the seniors as such.

30 goals in three games at Underdown last weekend. Good food, cold drinks and lots of action.

See you all next home game then... You should definitely try the Florina AB.

Bad day at the office no doubt, but Huddersfield just got promoted to the Premier League with a negative goal difference...
