With Jim McGuinness stepping back from 4 years of coaching at the close of 2016,
Southern Knights would like to announce the appointment of Jeff Ellis as Senior Coach for the 2017 season.
Jeff who has a passion for Knights to be successful, brings with him a wealth of experience and coaching
qualifications to the the Club and will be assisted in this role by Stephen Maguire and Richard Finlayson.
Unless another suitable candidate steps forward, Richard Finlayson will also continue on as Reserve Team coach in 2017.
Having just missed promotion by one point in 2016, Knights are looking to make amends in Division 2 in 2017.
Get behind it...be one of the eleven in twenty one seven....new players are always welcomed at the Knights.

A big thank you to Jim McGuiness who took the team from the brink of relegation in Division 2, to second the year after and subsequent promotion. We managed to stay in Division 1, the first year and were just relegated last year. This season we came within a point of going straight back up!

A great record by anyone's standards and will look forward to Jim being around the club again next year

Yes I hear we could be looking for a new kit man !!
Yes I will be around the club next season ,I have enjoyed the last few seasons with the Knights , been a pleasure working with some quality players and a good bunch of blokes around the club ,
Kudos to the 2 Colins ,SugarDaddy Richard and Johnny Johnstone ,a big thank you to Nick Swann in particular for his tiresome work ,
But time for a change to freshen things up , looking forward to working with Jeff again , be nice for the boys to have a change of voice , some nice new drills , Jeff is an expert in this department , the boys are good enough to go up if they want it , should be another good year for the Knights , see you down the club , Jim

Southern Knights - 2017 SAASL Sunday Premier Division are still looking for players for both Seniors and Reserves...our Senior goalkeeper from last year is taking a year off for personal reasons (ie getting married and recovering from ankle surgery), so we are keen to find another glove man (or 2 )...and we have another player going away on honeymoon for 5 weeks.
Great chance for players to establish themselves in the Sunday Premier Division.
Wednesday & Friday ~7:00pm nights training at O'Sullivan Beach.. (trial game at Salisbury Inter tomorrow for those who might be very keen to jump straight in )
