Great Camera work !!
Would you suggest the keeper has already gone past the ball to make contact and obstruct.?

Re: Cup Semi Final
Martini certainly put a bit of mayo on the end result but the keeper did not look at the ball at all and run straight in to him.swannsong wrote:Naaa....don't think Alban should have got a redGuiseppe wrote:Well past the ball didnt even attempt to go down for the ball ran straight past it an hip an shouldered the striker? If he was down going for the ball and cleaned him up then so be it.

Maybe the keeper was 'selling a dummy' ??No kidding wrote:Martini certainly put a bit of mayo on the end result but the keeper did not look at the ball at all and run straight in to him.swannsong wrote:Naaa....don't think Alban should have got a redGuiseppe wrote:Well past the ball didnt even attempt to go down for the ball ran straight past it an hip an shouldered the striker? Like I said, not sure about it as they were initially both able to play the ball....
At the time (I was just behind the goal) I thought Steve got the decision right....but then again, I'm a member of the goalkeepers brotherhood

Re: Cup Semi Final
Any other player than Alban it would have been a penalty and a straight red to the keeper.
Re: Cup Semi Final
Having watched Tom Foglia being upended all season without getting anything from most referees, I doubt that comment is validLRO wrote:Any other player than Alban it would have been a penalty and a straight red to the keeper.

Hilarious it wasn't given. Terrible decision I thought.haywood djablowme wrote:Clear pen from where I was standing Swanny
I was standing with 2 keepers who both said the same.

I think the impact was accentuated when the striker elevated himself and turned side on before impact....
Oh well ! Nothing like a healthy discussion...
Just noticed... It's obvious what Shaun Butler thought the decision should have been

Hey Swanny would your opinion differ had Alban been wearing a maroon shirtErnie Cooksey wrote:Pretty much where Bodo was, about 10 or so meters towards halfway line.

Re: Cup Semi Final
No, Downs allegences have nothing to do with my opinion, I quite like Alban, he is very skillful (has torn Knights a new one a few times) but I do favour keepers after having been in one on one situations where the forward have had the benefit of the referees opinion...smart forwards are either looking for a goals or a frees kick so it makes a decision difficult.supastar#8 wrote:Hey Swanny would your opinion differ had Alban been wearing a maroon shirtErnie Cooksey wrote:Pretty much where Bodo was, about 10 or so meters towards halfway line.
