Craig Laird's Sunday Premier Division Round 12 Round Up.

MATCH OF THE DAY
ELIZABETH DOWNS vs SALISBURY FLORINA
ELIZABETH Downs have narrowed the gap at the top of the Premier division to two points after a 4-0 win over Salisbury Florina at Argana Park.
The Maroons were keen to get back on the winners list and opened strongly with striker Ben De Bono denied twice by the alert Florina keeper Jamie Hart.
On 10 minutes Hart fumbled the ball and Matt Watson was on hand to gain control before scoring with a simple tap in.
The home team continued to dominate the first half and Hart needed to be at his best on 23 minutes to deny a rasping Braiden Gundlach shot.
Things got worse for Florina when danger man Jason Trimboli limped off on 34 minutes but the visitors held firm to go to the break only one down.
Florina opened the 2nd half brightly and substitute Clark Maunders went close when he turned and shot only to see Ben Aldridge parry it wide.
The lead was doubled on 58 minutes when Matt Watson played in De Bono who coolly picked his spot and the flood gates opened.
On 63 minutes Gundlach slid in a perfect ball to De Bono who chipped the helpless Hart and then a minute later a perfect Dillon Pickert cross was tapped home by Ben McMullen to make it 4-0.
Downs coach Alan Mottram “The last couple of weeks we have been right in games without getting the result so it was good to get the result today.”

League Champions Ingle Farm remain firmly in the championship hunt after a hard fought 2-1 win over Parafield Gardens at Bradman Oval.
Farm opened the scoring on 25 minutes when Shane Pearce converted a penalty kick and the lead was doubled on 68 minutes when a 2nd Pearce penalty kick was saved only for Pearce to fire home the rebound.
Gardens grabbed a lifeline on 78 minutes through Tyson Prescott and then piled on the pressure but with only two minutes remaining the normally reliable Simon Catanzaro missed a golden chance as Farm held on to move within three points of league leader Brahma Lodge.

Salisbury Inter have been held to a 2-2 draw by bottom placed West Beach at Underdown Park.
Inter opened the scoring on two minutes when Marcus Marchioro pounced on a defensive error before firing home and when Alban Martini crafted a fine solo goal Inter went to the break with what looked a winning 2-0 lead.
To Beach’s credit they fought back on 57 minutes when a Kevin O’Neil free kick rebounded to Ben Yolland who drove it home and on 67 minutes Beach drew level when a keeping error was pounced upon by O’Neil who stabbed the ball home.
The relegation battle looks all over thanks to a thumping Elizabeth Vale 5-1 win over Tea Tree Gully at Mofflin Road.
The 8th placed Vale started the day seven points clear of the 9th placed Gully and got off to the perfect start when Chris Nicholls got on the end of a long ball before lobbing the out coming keeper.
The lead was doubled through Michael Francis before Gully striker Billy Allotey dragged one back for the visitors but the game was over at half time thanks to a 2nd goal for Michael Francis and then an Aaron Westervelt goal direct from a corner to make it 4-1. A 2nd half strike from Jimmy Greaves finished off the scoring for the home side.
