If you think they've doctored the picture, you need to get out more.

Without getting into it too much as there is an appeal on. But yes Leon was the referee, the reserves ref called the ressies game off after looking at the goalmouth for about a minute. It was dangerous and unplayable, Leon arrived and said we could play - Our trainer, Westies trainer both felt it was unsafe, We made a decision on the basis of a duty of care to our players. I explained to Leon that I would take photo's and video and go to the league. The photos and videos were taken at the time, no need to put fake or old photo's in?

The ruling has come back as the ref said it was playable so you should have played. At this stage we have lost 3 points to Westies, but we will appeal.

I didn't say they have. I don't beleive Ghan legitimately put 20+ goals past Blue Nile two seasons ago but the league can't just overturn things on a gut feeleing.

Well they have a picture. All they had to do was get down there on Monday and see the state of the pitch for themselves and this could of all been sorted.

Or they could argue they already had a representative down there on said day who deemed it playable.

True, but we know how useless referees are ;)

Be interesting to see if Westies said the pitch was playable AFTER Leon had deemed it playable, because by the reports above - their trainer deemed it unsafe.

Some interesting fixtures this week with promotion and relegation battles being contested.
League leaders Vista entertain 4th placed Knights in the match of the round.
Easties (2nd) will be tested by Raptors(6th).
Westies (3rd) travel to Ghan (5th)in another tight contest.
Bottom club Macedonia host 2nd bottom Savoy. The winner will possibly gain ground on Angle Vale and throw themselves a life line to 2nd Division football next year, while the loser will be surely dealt with relegation.
Pontian (7th) are at home to Angle Vale (8th). A win for Pontian could, depending on other results, elevate then to 5th place.
Angle Vale simply must win to give themselves a chance of survival in a very disappointing year.

Biggest round of the year with 1V2 and 4V3.
Should be some good football if the weather holds up. And the pitches are up to scratch

Its going to be fascinating for the rest of the season to determine the top 2 teams as each game and point is crucial - none of the top 4 teams can afford a loss

Things could take another twist this week.
Top club Westies host 2nd placed Vista, 4th placed Knights are at home to 3rd placed Easties.
Great round for these clubs.
Raptors are beginning to show some form and should get a win against bottom club Macedonia.
Angle Vale(8th)host 6the placed Ghan.
Savoy(9th) have to beat the travelling Pontian(7th) to put the pressure on the Foxes in the relegation battle.

Vista beat Westies and I heard Knights and East drew. Vista now a point clear of west, another point down to east then 2 more down to knights. Gonna be an interesting run home

Easties(3rd) host Westies(2nd) in a must win game for both clubs.
Vista(1st) will be looking to overcome Ghan (7th) while hoping that Easties and Westies both drop points.
Knights (4th) will be looking at getting back into the promotion race with a big win against bottom club Macedonia.
Pontian (6th) host 5th placed Raptors in an interesting game.
Savoy (9th) defeated a disappointing Angle Vale 5-3 to give themselves a chance of Div 2 soccer next year.

More twists and turns at both ends of the league !!
Vista proving hard to stop with a 2-1 win over Ghan.
Easties in second place with a1-0 victory over Westies.
Knights lost ground on the leaders with a 3-1 loss to bottom placed Macedonia in the rounds biggest surprise. Raptors are in some good form and beat Pontion away 1-0. Savoy beating Angle Vale 5-3 and Macedonia winning makes for an interesting finish at both ends of this division.

Nothing official yet. But if it does happen will not affect our amateur side.
