Parafield Gardens Soccer Club invites all present, past & new players to attend our junior registration days for the 2016 season. Having celebrated its 50th year & the opening of our new clubrooms in 2015 the club prides itself on providing a great family environment for boys & girls to enjoy playing soccer.

Registration will take place at the Bradman Road Parafield Gardens Clubrooms from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th February 2016. Fees are $180 for the first child & $150 for any additional children with a deposit of $50 required for each child registering (EFTPOS facility available). Parents are advised if you are registering your child for the first time you will need to provide a copy of a birth certificate, CAHFS book, passport or student pass together with a passport photo (for 9yr old & up only).

Note: All existing players must register by these dates to secure your child’s position for 2016.

Parafield Gardens will be fielding teams from Under 6 to Under 18 Colts in the EDJSA competition & the club will provide all coaches with the opportunity to complete the FFA Skill Training Certificate Community Coaching Course. Specialist training will also be provided throughout the season by Accredited Coaches together with junior coaches with a focus on the FFA National Curriculum Skills Acquisition Phase.

Is it really appropriate for a SAASL committee member to be promoting a club. Doesn't show things will be impartial and will likely have bias towards one club? Or do people not really care?

Give it a rest Davinci - part of the reason for the support of lefty comes from his proven track record of what he has achieved with Gardens showing how credible he is for the role he now has.

Keep up the good work lefty and I look forward to seeing you and Rodent this year.

In regards to junior coaching are E&DJSA recognizing FFA coaching courses, because when I completed my coaching course with E&DJSA they said they didn't accept coaching licenses from outside eg. FFA etc.

Seems crazy but maybe something to consider.

We have 2 new junior teams this year, we sent our coach on the Skills Training Certificate, we were then told (after previously being told opposite) that this course would only allow him to coach U6-U8 modified rules teams (which we do not have).

So he then had to go to do the EDJSA course.

EDJSA said they have attended the FFSA courses and still wanted everyone to go through their two day course. Or if U6-U8 at least their duty of care.

I have only done the EDJSA one, my other coach completed both, he said whilst similar the FFSA one was a bit more structured.

Yes getinthere....

The club recognises the benefits of its coaches doing FFA course & will cover the cost on behalf of coaches. All existing coaches have done edjsa course & any new one's will do edjsa course also. Yes your right it's crazy but will help improve our coaches & players.

What do we need to care about exactly? What is concerning you so much?

Surely you can be specific, please don't say your just being a prick and throwing mud at someone who gives massive amounts of his time to help try and improve amateur soccer in SA just for a laugh.

All committee members normally have a link to a club. The other thing is that Lefty as a username is not on the committee of Saasl

It's better off having someone from a club that understands the issues then a committee member not involved in any club at all
