AU are playing there tonight which means the "work" on the stadium is finished...and it was fully open for the LFC training and Villareal match...so...
Maybe the 20k plus hire fee for the stadium for the 2 Sundays might be deemed to expensive for the SAASL
Looking at the AU V Sydney thread on the Local Football board, the facilities are still being upgraded, with Sydney FC having to get changed in the Coopers bar and being bussed to the Entertainment centre after the match for a shower. Understandable why SAASL wouldn't be there for the semi's / final this year, apart from the hire fee of course.

Spoiled by playing to many games there instead of just the final
I think making it to the semis and final at hindmarsh isn't exactly spoiling it

Not sure why you didn't get an answer (depends who you spoke to) but the venues for both finals have been locked away (& it aint Hindmarsh for either).

Good luck with getting a drink after half time :P
Now, if you're lucky, you could hack through your ankle in five minutes.

I have had it confirmed tonight that Marden would be available to host the final, who's decision is it?.

Marden together with other venues may well be available but the SAASL have decided that Semis @ Oakden & Final @ Paddocks.

At least hosting the final will give their players the chance to look at the teams they'll be playing for next season.
