good win on the weekend against Pumas by the boys. Couldve maybe had 1-2 more, but great result regardless.

Also good to see the B's & C's get good wins aswell.

huuuuge game for the Raptors this week away to Southern Knights.

Looks like the second promotion spot will go down to the last game of the season so with 3-4 sides still capable of going up, everyone will be gunning for a win.

Lets hope we get ALL players out to training tonight and thursday.

GO RAPTORS!!

You bet it is..the Knights boys are looking forward to taking the honours again, however when ever we play you guys , theres never much between the two sides and we always seem to manage to split the results over the course of the season.

Just a question. Have your cousins over at the Pontians agreed to give you the result you need in the last game of the season ?

The last game of the season will be a cracker and the Pontian boys will play it as a final. There is pride at stake and there will be a big crowd, lots of food and hopefully a great game of soccer being played. We have asked Doriforos to do a live broadcast of the game with Andy Pashalidis coming down to do the commentry :D

hahahahahahaha.............NOT FUNNY!! :x

i jest of course

it should be a great last game of the season, but like GE said, Pontians wont be doing us any favours – and we wouldn’t expect them too.

Plus, if we happen to get promoted we'll get satisfaction from knowing we did it based on our own merits, rather than being ‘given’ games by the opposition.

We expect nothing less than a hard fought match..............followed hopefully by celebrations!! :D

C’MON YOU RAPTORS!

Great result yesterday for the boys. Wasn’t there but heard the result.

So it all comes down to this – away to Pontians on the final day of the season. Huge day for the history of the club.

Well its over for another season at the Raptors. Promotion came down to the last game of the season but we werent good enough to get over the line. Though im sure if we had said before the season wed be sitting in 2nd spot needing a win to assure promotion, most people wouldve been surprised.

Its been a great season full of ups and downs and all the boys showed great character to get where they are. The club should be proud of our results this season

:D

I was suprised with season Raptors had and first of all congratulate the club on a good season.

You shoud us great respect in giving us a Champions guard as we walked onto the pitch for our first home game as champions.

As for the game you started well and it was a huge roar from your supporters and Im sure thoughts we going through your mind of Div 1, we pressed and got a deserved equaliser. The biggest disappointment was when your player got sent off for a second yellow card. No need to make such a rash challenge like that especially in the first half and he had already been booked. He let your team down and you were always up against it from there. I thought the move of M Magaritis on Theo was a good one but you should of pushed him forward at the break to get the winner. Oh well good luck next year and hope to see you up in Div one with us in 09!

serious question to golden eagle and others

why have people been surprised with our performances???? (we also had our captain, top goal scorer and first choice left sided player out - no disrespect to the boys who started, cause our strength this year has been our ability to develop a squad rather than just a team)

our boys can really hold their heads up. and if anyone thought that the game was to be tanked by the pontians, they should have seen one or two of their players pump their fists at the final whistle (knowing that they had denied us promotion). also as a sign of respect, the pontians made a sub with 2 min to go to chew up time (happy to hold on for a draw v 10 players)

pontians are deserved champions!!!!

And you wouldnt react any different if it was the other way round, your team being the CHAMPIONS and denying another team?!?

I would say see ya in 08 but you'll have to wait till 09, perhaps!

Congrats to the Raptors you guys had a stellar season aswell. We had a couple of cracker games against you guys.

Not a bad effort when 3 of the top 4 positions in Div 2 were held by promoted teams hay.

no i wouldnt and thats my point.

both clubs were quite offended from the innuendo coming from the west beach and TTG camps about the so called conspiracy between the raptors and the pontians.

the pontians played their strongest team, blood was spilt on the park, their keeper pulled off a great save, words were exchanged. however, post game, hands were shaken and supporters mingled.
