What's peoples thoughts on the Mongs bringing their own bar.

They would have bought a massive crowd!
Don't worry about the minor few surely?

What was the bloody score though?!?!

Get over it... from what I saw there were plenty of people buying from your canteen and mobile bar also. Considering the crowd that was there, mostly from the Downs also, compared to what you would get from most games, I am sure there would have been plenty of money spent.

No club can really claim the high ground on this one - who really gives a shite where people buy their grog, not many bring their own hamburgers so you can maker some cash there.

This cranker is not speaking on behalf of the gardens die hard. He is trying to tear down and discredit the hard work most supporters from both clubs have done to build a great and lasting rivalry. If you notice Mr Drop Kick none of your club members are backing you up on your sooky baby gripe. Scrap that egg off your face and next time try and come up with something original.....You can gladly bring your own piss to our club because we don't want or need your 6 dollars....

I guess the real issue can also be, not so much the missed sales, but I some cases, bringing alcohol onto a licensed sports club grounds (as is the case at O'Sullivan Beach Sports Ground) can threaten the liquor license itself... food for thought ??

Do Parafield have a take away booze license? Most clubs only licensed are is the area is inside and immediately around their clubrooms. So technically the area around the pitch is public grounds and booze brought from the club is not allowed to be drunk there. And for that matter is the van licensed to sell booze?
So might have been doing your club a favour and bringing your own to avoid the club breaching their license!!!

Let's not get carried away by the comments of one individual
Bringing your own drinks to games is your choice and if you choose
to shouldn't be harassed for doing so. If you can afford to purchase
food or drinks from the home club that's great but it isn't a rule we all
must abide by.
In regards to our Liquor Licenses we DO have a license to sell alcohol
on the site adjacent to the pitch on the cement cricket pitch and if
anybody wishes to see it it's located inside the club.

Let's stop this petty shite about people bringing their own drinks to games
the day is about what happens on the pitch not off it. If you can't survive
unless you sell alcohol on game days you need to reassess your costs.

Thanks for the warning - now bugger off back down the train tracks to your own club and turn your attention to helping them.

Losing a liquor license is not petty, especially at a shared facility.
It's not as simple as just pleading ignorant...there are insurance issues too if you don't attempt to police the bylaw.....especially when there are other user groups waiting to pounce on you for turning a blind eye !

That's why we are safe at the downs apparently booze license's do not apply down this way. You can drink dropping your kids off to school, going to the dole office, have a quick scull before heading off to court or while you are doing your food shopping and also filling up your car with petrol before doing a drive off. Take your can with you if doing the last suggestion no point giving them DNA sample.
On a serious note Swannsong when are you going to get your own club rooms so you can start making some bucks and get away from this share arrangement. I know it would mean a boat load more work for you. Who does get all your profits? Is it council owned and run? Who buys the grog if so?

Not quite the same luxuries down south...most amateur clubs share or are part of a Fed club...Knights originated from Noarlunga United leaving because of share issues....we're at Council owned facility with a management group...
