In the A's any nervousness was shrugged off at the 2 minute mark when Flinders had a player sent off for a last man foul. Stirling had a few really good chances early from corners (which looked dangerous all game) and after dominating most of the possession finally got the 0-1 lead before half time. Second half more of the same, Stirling taking a well deserved 0-2 lead, then had a goal disallowed for offside which would have sealed it. Flinders central players looked good throughout the game when they had possession, but they couldn't find a way in behind the Stirling defence. Flinders got their consolation into stoppage time with just a couple of minutes remaining, which Stirling played out comfortably.

Thanks for sticking around compass. Was a real pleasure to play and mingle later on. That's what it's all about good company, food and beers. And a bit of football too

Newspaper today says S.Villa won 5-0.

Looks like the source who was keeping us 'informed' on the day was trying to trick us. :?

Thankfully Villa only got half the number of goals they needed, so ....
We are going up, we are going up
