Well it certainly was an interesting ref display near the end. Steve got a bit card happy & wanted to get involved. Sometimes I just wish the refs would stop & think before they make decisions. It could've been a very different game if he was consistent.
Going to be a great game vs brahma next week!

I thought the sending off after the final whistle was a bit much but the yellow card when the ref was consulting the linesman when a MP player was hit behind the play was a definate red

Linesman didn't signal straight away, if it was a clear hit, he would of as he told the referee what he saw, considering they booked the player they obviously didn't think it was a 'hit behind play'

Good luck to the Munno Para boys for the last two games, always great banter down there

Your B's GK played well, didn't look like a fill in that's for sure.

Good win in the A's Sid, entertaining game
Don't know how he got to a few of those late on in the reserves game

By the sounds Vlad is still handy between the sticks. Remember him at the Grove in goals not a bad keeper at all

Hey DOC, wtf has happened to the pitches at your ground??
They're horrific, i was a bit disappointed no one had an opportunity to tee up a free kick on one of the 7 tufts of grass in the middle of the park, but seriously how do you even get motivated to train on that?

I know mate it's a joke, 500 kids and 5 senior sides yet the council won't fix it, every year it's the same, all they do it level it with sandy dirt

Almost played in my thongs

We use two of the school ovals, modified rules on one and a "smaller size" full pitch on the other. This year is by far the worst it's been.

Is this a council issue?

Does the club have another option in the area to accomodate matches/training? i.e burragah or similar?

Something has to be done, it's a disgrace.

One of the big issues when they set up Golden Grove....won many accolades but they didn't leave enough open space to cater for the influx of families and children.

Yeah it seems that way...

A lot of schools in the vicinity though, maybe they can be utilised?

I believe so yes. Really needs to be dug up and start fresh in the off season. They don't look after it properly in the off season and top dress it with sand! But do insist they know what they're doing.

The club needs to take some teams to wherever the council has some nice manicured lawns or gardens and train on them for a few weeks. As far as i know there would be nothing illegal about it and would send a strong message to the council that the current pitches are unacceptable.

the club is doing everything it can together with the council, we did have ladywood for a few junior games this year when the Jets 35s werent using it and hopefully we can utilise that a lot more next year. The schools will be used for all junior saturday games next year now we have approval and lights on the school oval will also help with training but all this costs money and we all know how hard that is to come by.

Love the Rats rake comment.

All the best to Vista on this one. Let's hope they can work with the council to have a half decent surface come next season.

A tight table. I hope that Polonia & Savoy head up, it was a pleasure playing against them both this year !

Fingers crossed we can beat Raptors this week and Plympton stuff them so we can stay up ! Ghan having their results overturned has certainly shaken things up, can't believe they are still in the league given the incidents that have occurred this year ... !

You'd also like to know that they have one of your match-balls. Went to take a goal kick and saw "SCUSC" on the ball...
