Vipers coming from 0-2 at half time, a great effort and even managing to equalise with 10 men.

Sharkey had a shocker, counted roughly 10-15 cards in that one.

Great win for Stirling in the A's over a quality Villa side.

B's was a close game with Villa just edging it.

Bit rich considering you dropped points too. You could have had it in your own hands had you won.
Why is half a day at home more tiring than a week at work?

1969-1977 Carlingford Pathfinders SC (left after u/15s because no u/16s team)
1978-1989 St Andrews Parramatta SC (left when the club changed to field juniors only)
1990 Rooty Hill Gunners SC (left when I moved to Adelaide)
1991 Blackwood SC (left to move back to amateurs, barely survived one season of Feds reserve grade)
1992-current/retired Stirling District SC (apart from playing one game for Modbury C grade in 2011(?) after moving out of the Hills, I decided I couldn't bring myself to play for anyone else but Stirling, even if it meant 1 hour trips up and back) - add in 7 years as treasurer, life member, and coached juniors and women's teams

Hey Otto u know what interrupts my Saturdays is teams pulling out last minute
Our Adelaide Villa div 6 team has not played a game in 4weeks with 3 forfeits and a cup round.
We were looking forward to a challenging game against a quality club who I least expected to forfeit ....
If ARBE don't want to play us next week please tell us now so we can make plans with our Saturday....

Oh no .... I sound like JD.

I used to watch Adelaide City from afar when I lived in Sydney. I loved the way they played.
When I moved to Adelaide I thought how wonderful it would be to be able to go to watch Adelaide City play.
When I went to a game I felt completely excluded from following the club.
I felt like you had to be Italian in order to follow them.
The crowd chanted Juve, Juve which not only meant nothing to me, but reinforced that this was a team for Italians only.
Although I did go once or twice more, to see if maybe I'd been mistaken, I soon decided I wasn't interested in supporting Adelaide City.

When Adelaide City and West Adelaide died their inevitable death through not engaging the wider community I was a little bit sad, but that was all.

When Adelaide United started, and said that it was inclusive for all ethnicities I was thrilled.
Imagine what a creative and lively multicultural atmosphere that would be. No single culture dominating, forcing you to become like them.
Instead, all together, we would be united under one team that represented all cultures in Adelaide.
I went along to the first game, on my own (no comments please about having no friends).
I was a bit worried, was it a trick would I find out it was really just an mono-cultural club that I wouldn't be able to support, like Adelaide City?
I didn't even have to get into the ground before I started feeling excited.
There were people from all sorts of cultures walking along together, side by side, ahead and behind.
It seemed to me like there were Greeks and Italians, Spanish, South Americans, in fact all sorts of cultures were represented, including a fair few anglos (like me).
This was what I'd been waiting for, without even thinking it was really possible (remember this was in the dying days of the NSL, not the A-League).
That was the start, and for me that feeling of complete cultural inclusion has continued.
With all due respect you were talking about being able to go and watch a game and and I am saying their are plenty of games you can watch if you can't make a saturday.

With all due respect you were slinging off at me as someone who switches teams whenever they feel like it. That's not me. I've no interest in watching any other amateur team than Stirling.

I would imagine they'd go up a division rather than changing leagues.
