A's has only just kicked off (15:20) so referee has decided to play short halves. He also made the home team change their socks because their black clashed with Lions' navy blur. Yet the home linesman can wear the same yellow and both keepers are wearing the same lime green as the referee.

Sorry, I only see one problem - the linesman should put a jacket on.Jeremy Paxman wrote:A's has only just kicked off (15:20) so referee has decided to play short halves. Change of socks: the ref needs to be able to clearly see who is kicking who when giving a free kick.
Keepers in same colour as ref: It's not like anyone is going to pass the ball to the ref thinking he's their goalkeeper is it? Or mistake the other teams keeper for their own?

I agree good effort but from where I saw it you had 1 attempt on target which was the penalty other than that our keeper didn't make a save. But think we may have missed many chances.

Don't think Galey touched the Ball whole second half, Hawks made a good fist of it but Villa contolled the game for the majority. Well done for playing the game out fella considering you were crook all week!ynwa wrote:I agree good effort but from where I saw it you had 1 attempt on target which was the penalty other than that our keeper didn't make a save. Firstly, linesman did put a jacket on after a while. As for the rest, if the referee is going to make one club change socks and delay a game kicking off twenty minutes then he should be consistent and apply all the LOTG re uniforms. Personally I don't think the socks were that much of a clash and making an issue of it is a bit of a joke considering that players can wear any color of boots around them. I'm pretty sure it was the same referee I saw do the Pumas v Hawks game last weekend.otto62 wrote:Sorry, I only see one problem - the linesman should put a jacket on.Jeremy Paxman wrote:A's has only just kicked off (15:20) so referee has decided to play short halves. To the games, firstly I said it in another thread but the young lad who ran the line for Hahdorf in the first half of the reserves is probably the best I have seen in a club linesman all season. Hahndorf took the lead midway through the first half and whilst Lion didn't have many problems going forward it looked like they didn't have someone who could finish a move off until a few minutes before half time they banged in two goals in a minute to turn it around. Hahndorf leveled midway through the second half. Overall I think a draw was a fair result.
In the firsts, well, how often do you see a reserves game go longer than the seniors? Both halves were cut to 38 minutes due to the late start for reasons mentioned above. The game itself was closer than the scoreline suggests but I think Hahndorf deserved the win. At the end of the day Hahndorf took their chances and Lion didn't.
The English approach to ideas is not to kill them, but to let them die of neglect.
