Div 6
ARBE 0 - Flinders 3

I think the game after us (ARBE v Adelaide Uni Div 3B) was called off due the condition of the pitch
Come on Flinders!

B's: Wanderers 3 Comets 2 at half time. It's been a cracking game so far.
Wanderers won the c's.

That would explain why some of the Titan lads are at the Wanderers game

I had originally planned to go see Adelaide Villa v Gleeson which according to the SAASL website was to be played at Rushworth Reserve. When I got there there it looked like Western Toros were playing so went to Wanderers instead. The C's finished just after I arrived and I presume the home team won since they were the ones singing after the game.

In the B's Wanderers going into the wind twice took the lead before being pegged back, then added a third to lead 3-2 at half time. With the wind behind them I thought they'd kill it in the second half and scored five minutes in to make it 4-2 but made hard work of it from then on. Two goals made it 4-3 then 5-3.

The A's was a lot closer. On another day Wanderers probably would have won it but it always looked like one goal would decide it. It didn't come until the 94th minute but was enough to give Comets the win.

Salisbury Villa 3 - 2 Flinders (A's)
Salisbury Villa 3 - 4 Flinders (B's)

Good tough game in trying conditions. A dubious penalty awarded to Flinders in the second half, which was well taken and leveled the scores at 2-2. The referee missed an obvious free kick against Villa for a push in the back, they went on and scored the winner. Definitely not one of the better ref's going around - but would have to be one of the, lets say, larger ones! Just a little slow getting around!
Thanks Flinders for a good game and for the blokes who stayed back.

Stirling v Cougars
A's 7-2
B's postponed
C's 2-0 win on forfeit

A's - I was surprised by how poor Cougars were. On that showing they are not contenders for promotion. 1-0 after 5 mins, 2-0 after 10 mins, 3-0 after 15 mins, 5-0 at half time, 6-0 early second half. No contest. Could have been 10 or more for Stirling except for missing about 4 or 5 one on ones with the keeper inside the penalty area.

So you're basically saying both teams are struggling this year.

Adelaide Villa v Gleeson

A 3-1
B 4-1
C 5-0

Gleeson put up a superb performance in the A's and looked more like a top 4 team rather than their current position suggests. Will finish in the top half based on todays game, well done fellas, very good bunch of guys also, hope they can finish the season strong.

A 'world class' goal is sometimes colloquially called 'a worldie'.

I feel it's best to have non "ethnic" names but surely a club should be able to call themselves whatever they want, within reason.
