West Beach v Downs
Cs 4-0 Comfortable start for the Cs
Bs 2-3 Two up and matching the downs in a bruising encounter, the downs ran over the top of the Ressies in the 2nd half.
As 2-4 Four down at half time, the Downs were slick and dominant. While the Downs took their foot off the pedal in the 2nd half, we rallied well and showed plenty of endeavour to claw back two goals.

Game abandoned after a Salisbury Inter supporter decided to go to the Parafield Gardens supporters and start trouble. To Parafield supporters credit they did not react to the taunts.
Salisbury substitutes and supporters then ran across the pitch while the game was in progress to try settle their wayward supporter.
The referee stopped the game, went to the Salisbury Inter bench and advised them that if any substitutes or supporters entered the field of play again he would abandon the game.
The game re started and within 2 minutes a Salisbury Inter supporter entered the field of play and man handled a Parafield player. The referee then blew for full time.
As a neutral it was an entertaining game, Parafield Gardens were superior in all areas but Salisbury Inter never stopped trying.
I was quite appalled at the comments coming from the Salisbury Inter supporters toward the Parafield Gardens players. Very personal , degrading family members etc.
Great to support your team but to start saying your wife is a sl$t is a bit over the top.

fk me thats a bit intense for a round one game... out of control surely inter will deal with this maniac...
in other more important fixtures Polonia and Savoy played out a tough and very hard fought draw with the reds hitting the post after a sitter and savoy missing a penalty in the last minute!!
great game, as always against Savoy much respect between both clubs, looking forward to round 10 already!!

Two cracking goals from Florina, including a winner in the last 5 minutes saw the visitors take all 3 points today.
Both teams had plenty of good build ups but neither could find too many killer final touches.
Knights took an early lead when Robert Marsden headed home from a Scott Bradley free kick.
A while later Knights lost key forward Matt Daughtry who was struggling to get into the game to a niggling injury.
Florina's equaliser from about 30 metres out was one of the best finishes I have seen for several seasons.
it was 1-1 at the half time break and stayed that way until about 5 minutes to go Knights had an opportunities to take the lead through Anthony Micheal and then Aaron O'Toole,
Unfortunately Florina rebounded quickly with another great finish that left Stphen Maguire with little chance to keep out.

Knights Reserves were relieved to win their first game in the Sunday Premier Reserve Division after establishing a 3-0 first half lead.
Florina came out a little more determined in the second half grabbing two goals and almost levelled the game but ran out of time.

*thanks to the Florina peoples and players that stayed around for a few drinks and presentation...and won the lucky squares prize money !
