Saturday Division 4 Scores & News.

Post by NorthernWolvesSC »

I have noticed a couple of the division 4 clubs are active on the forums so this may be useful.

Good luck in round 1 to all clubs.

Just a heads up.

Not sure if anyone else's round 1 schedule has changed

We were due to play old ignatians away and this morning we find out it has been changed to a home game.
It's a bit inconvient for as as now we need to try organise a ground in sort notice

Everyone might want to check the fixtures again.

Thanks for the heads up! Playing you guys in round 2 by the looks of it. See you have changed grounds since last year.
All the best to all the teams in Div 4, we will try to provide a bit more competition than we did last year!

Northern Wolves vs Adelaide Uni Grey.

A's 3-2
B's 2-6

Tough game for the A's. A nice win for the boys after going down to 10 with about 20 to go. The B's got a bit of a touch up, not entirely sure on the specific score.

Cheers to Adelaide Uni Grey for the day and good luck for the rest of the year.

Northen Pitbulls vs OISC

A's 7-0
B's 0-2

too good in the a's, we were very depleted but credit to the pitbulls, classy finishes and good fitness.

loved the music on the side as well!

A's - Torrens Valley 2 Northern Wolves 0
B's - Torrens Valley 5 Northern Wolves 0

A very well contested match, both teams showed lots of passion which resulted in a fiery encounter. Credit to Torrens Valley, they have a strong outfit and took their chances.

Very tough team to play especially up there, they will certainly be in the mix this year.

Northern Wolves Vs The Cove.

A's 1-4
B's 3-2

I didn't get to see the B's game but from what I heard it was a good game with our lads being down 2-1 and coming back to win the game which always shows heart.

The A's game was tight all the way up until about 20 minutes to go where Cover, to their credit ran away with it a bit after a goalkeeper error or two. They eventually ended up bagging 4 and getting a very good win.

The cove were good value for their win so don't let what i'm about to say make me sound like a sore loser.

This referee was the biggest joke I have ever seen in all my days, that gets said a lot but this is legitimate. He was so unbelievably over the top to the point where players where booked for having hands on on peoples backs when contesting headers. No one could speak to him, he had a sook about there being no referee's change room. He insisted both teams wait at half time while he made a wwe'esque entrance which was cringe worthy.

The best was yet to come he gave a player a second yellow for standing on the edge of the box when the keeper was going to kick ball out with about 5 minutes to go with the Cove up 4-1. He then proceeded to send one of our players off about 2 minutes after the game for saying "I know everyone is human and we all make mistakes but the game isn't about the referee.".

He looks like David Moyes and acted like him so if you enjoy a football game with strong challenges and a real competitive spirit you won't get it with this guy refereeing.

Once again full credit to the Cove, they won because they were the better side not because of this egocentric referee.

Hi All,

Would people just mind checking this, to ensure the scores are right? I can't trust the SAASL site.

Alas, the Flinders 4B only beat Strath 3-0. Should have been a lot more though!

Unfortunately Strathalbyn will not be able to field a reserve team for the remainder of this season in Division 4. We started the season with 26 registered players and are now down to 16, with 3 of those having mid-term injury concerns. Our club made the decision late last week. We have played all of our matched this season very low on numbers, which has meant that 7 or 8 A grade players have had to help out the reserves first. This has caused more injuries and it cannot continue.
We apologise to all the other Div 4 clubs! We know what it is like to have so many byes in a season and feel bad that we are causing more.
Once again I apologise but the situation we are in could not be helped.

That's a real shame Sean, what a great bunch of young lads you have down there., regardless of the scoreline they just keep going, never giving up and are a real credit to you and Luke. I know at our place earlier this year we counted 7 or 8 of your B grade play against our A's.

Lets hope you can pick a few more lads for next season - all the best from the lads at McLaren Districts.
