Agree ... haven't seen Lion this year but have seen Cobras ... am tipping Lion ..
Sometimes need to go against the grain just to cause the controversy
my tip is based on USC going into the game over confident against a Cobras team that is hungry, has recruited reasonably well from what I have heard, and showed a lot of promise last season albeit in a lower division. Interested to see the result.
It is the game of the round, and think it sets the tone for who the early contenders for the league will be.
RBE to early to call after average season last year, but practically going in the season with the same squad they had to finish 3rd in Division 2 in 2012.

Hahndorf and Monarchs draw
Lion will win 3-1
Murray Bridge will win-2 first teamers return this week hopefully
I know the new coach and was speaking with him yesterday as a matter of fact .. all I can say is with him at the helm Monarchs will be back on track in no time ... I would tend to believe that the previous coach resigned and so the new coach has agreed to take over ..
Are a good bunch of guys even when copping some shiraz from me ..wont stop me scoring again though ...so anyway all the best Monarchs .... until you play Budapest again that is
It's a race between USC, RBE and Cobras. USC's win over RBE on the weekend has made things even more interesting and it's tighter than ever at the top. No one can afford to drop any points in the reamining three games. This week's match between Cobras and RBE could be the match of the season. The result of this will likley determine who will get promoted. The Reserves game is also going to be a cracker between 2nd and 1st (congrats to RBE for taking out the title already). Well done to the Cobras and RBE for fielding two very strong teams this season. Can't wait to see how the Seniors table pans out in the end. What an intense season this has been. Good luck to all clubs.
On a side note, in case you aren't aware, there is a Facebook page dedicated to this Division. Just search 'SAASL Saturday Division 3 Mens'.
Congratulations to USC Lion, over the course of 18 games you were the deserved champions. We look forward to playing you again in division 2 next season.
Thanks to all teams for a year that was played in good spirits. I was very impressed by USC Lion, ARBE, Prince Alfred and Murray Bridge. And then towards the end Hahndorf made a resurgence with a quality group of young players.
