DOWNS 7-A-SIDE FINALS

Post by Rexie »

Looking to be a great finals series. One of the best ever, and certainly a great comp this year.
I think all the teams are rightly placed as well, no real surprises, but it does make for some craker games to be played on Wednesdeay night.

Any Predictions of any upsets?

I think negus will be upset when he finds out he's dropped from the squad.

Thanks for your support Marooned but we have to get over a talented Westies outfit first. Win or lose we'll be out tomorrow having a look as well - it's been a great tournament - congratulations to all involved and all played in good spirits as well.

WOW. I would not have expected the parkens to go down.

Good to see the redbacks in after a different year from them, usually they are one of the teams to beat. Hope they can cause an upset tonight. Think they were the only team to really take it to the eagles, but as has been said, finals are a different story.

Goal of the tournament.....?
I would have to rate the cracker that Godders from the eagles got, just before they put him back in goals. Would have to be the best one Ive seen. Any others?

Cant wait till tonight though. Should be some nice, hot weather, good football, cant think of a better way to spend a hot summers night.

Redbacks keeper had the ball in his hands in his 6 yard box, kicked it long, the wind took it and it bounced over the westies keeper and in the back of the net! Nearly did it a few minutes later as well!

Sorry Old Redback but goal of the tournement for me is still Godders cracker two weeks ago. But only because yours was wind assisted. You are however my keeper of the tournament. Hands and heels above all others.

Well if the tournament organiser says it was Godders' goal - that makes it official.
Player of the tournament marooned?
