Think the Brennan playing for the Grove might be Sean ( not Ryan) !

i was informed it was Ryan playing there.

i dont think Sean can play for another club as he has already played for 2 clubs this year (Raiders and Playford).

From memory, the SAASL Transfer-Release forms only require you list and have a signature of release from the last FFSA Club you were with...not required to list other Clubs..

Internally, (number of Amateur Clubs) I believe there is a limit, not sure if external numbers (other than 1 ) count...not sure where to find the policy on the SAASKL site...??

maybe the div 2 clubs should formally write to the league to get these 2 issues sorted

unless grove did check themselves?

similar thing happened a couple of years ago, gawler player received long suspension, left and went to the vale. if ffsa don't recognise saasl, nothing can be enforced.

good signing 8)

This is pretty much the response to people that think the two entities are a good idea.

In all my years, and speaking locally -

I have never known a suspension not be still be enforced / carried out when a player changes clubs or associations.

It is my understanding that it is not the association nor the club, but the player carries that suspension with him wherever he goes until it is served.
If the rule has changed and it is allowed, makes a mockery out of Disciplinary System

Never know of anyone legally playing for more than two clubs in any one given season. Not sure what the ruling would be if someone transferred from A League, to FFSA, to SAASL ? ( summer season - winter season ).

Cant see why? The league registered him so unless grove were told by league his suspension carried over i cant see how they have a Case to answer? And as far as i know nothing has still been said by the league so he is available this week . Sounds like Doc is trying to make his own case!

I believe the ban is a worldwide fifa sanctioned ban... No football whatsoever in any capacity... No 5 a side. No beach football, no wall passes.. Nothing!

Seems a bit strange that u could potentially hop between associations to avoid suspension. Would be egg on someone's face if he repeats the gesture in amateurs and someone else ends up with broken legs and ankles.

I am pretty sure when I first registered for a SAASL team there was a question asking if I had been banned from playing in any other competition or affiliation.
