Southern Knights took all three points at home against TeaTree Gully in a game decided by an exciting curling 25 metre first half shot from Jamie Faulkner.
It took a couple of excellent saves from Stephen Maguire to keep his second clean sheet in as many league games to hold onto all three points.
However, it was an all round team performance that kept the young and pacey Gully side at bay.
In front of keeper Stephen Maguire, Jimmy Stewart, Lee White, Iain Stewart and Aaron O'Toole all had solid games in defence whilst Matt Harrison, Ben Jones, Robert Marsden and Jamie Faulkner provided good links for Tom Foglia and Scott Bradley up front for Knights.
An injury to Scott Bradley allowed Tom Salvemini (after his great come-back game last weekend) to add his drive to the midfield and much later Anthony Micheal (on for Robert Marsden) provided an entertaining cameo.
Although there were many frustrating moments for Southern Knights and Coach Jim "Mackillop" McGuinness, they were more than happy with the contributions from all.

Despite taking an early lead through a goal from Sam Ferguson and missing several opportunities, Southern Knights struggled to keep pace wit a younger Tea Tree Gully side.
In what was almost a replay from last week, Gully were on hand to pounce on a missed clearance by Knights to make it 1-1.
Knights game preparation was thrown out of whack with several late arrivals leaving a somewhat makeshift side to take the park.
At the break Anthony Micheal and Sladjan Bilic came on for Tony Harrison and James Randall.
Shortly after the break Knights made it 2-1 but it wasn't long before Gully began to overrun the game with three good finishes to take all 3 points with a 2-4 victory.
