Goalkeeper Vacancies - Preferably Div 1 or 2 Teams.
Disregarding the other thread about Goalkeeper Vacancies, I know its there but its not quite updated. I was wondering if there were any teams who were still on the look out for a permanent spot goalkeeper in either their B or C grade teams.

What area are you looking? And what day?
I'm sure keepers are well in demand.

Preferably looking in areas around the North. More so within range of the Salisbury vicinity. Days for training can be tuesday/thursday or wednesday/friday, game day I'd prefer on a Sunday.

So Southern Knights at O'Sullivan Beach wouldn't be ideal....but you would still be welcomemachickenz wrote:Preferably looking in areas around the North. More so within range of the Salisbury vicinity. Days for training can be tuesday/thursday or wednesday/friday, game day I'd prefer on a Sunday.

I think any club would take a goalkeeper.
The Titans are always on the look out.

By the sounds of things, clubs who are on the look out for a keeper are miles away from me haha. Hanging up the gloves might have to be the alternative
Re: Goalkeeper Vacancies - Preferably Div 1 or 2 Teams.
Why not just rock up one training night to the club of your own choice, have a run out, and do what every other player at any club does........
Train hard and earn your spot!
I'm from Salisbury Villa at Parafield Gardens and we welcome any new players including yourself. We have many players fighting for the same spot and fair coaches who reward effort. No one is shown favoritism and if you don't get picked to start our players know it's their responsibility to find out why and improve.
The offer stands and good luck.

Wise words that many a player should take note of....Not just keepers.....This guy though seems like he wants an easy ride.Azzurri80 wrote:Why not just rock up one training night to the club of your own choice, have a run out, and do what every other player at any club does........

Try out at your closest club and if your good enough you will get the gig, if not it will strengthen your character... It is a win/win situation.
Good luck.

Too many keepers just expect that because they're a diamond dozen, they'll get the spot they want. It shits me off how a lot aren't willing to train with guys better than them and learn a thing or two and work their way up.

Interested to note the increase in GKs posting on here wanting to join a team. It just shows the level of committment some people have given they have missed the entire pre-season and expect to get a gig coming in a couple of days before the first round.Big G wrote:Correct, thank you for clearing that upBacon888 wrote:I don't think you know what this means.Big G wrote:Too many keepers just expect that because they're rare, they'll get the spot they want. It might be better to train someone up within your club that you know will be around for years to come than pick up a freelancer the night before the season starts, who will prolly only stay for 1 season and not even train most weeks.

Interested to note that Mr. Clever Trevor likes to assume things. You'd really think someone is that stupid expecting to walk into a club without training? It's called falling out of favour with the coach after training all pre-season. But anyways, thanks for the advice though buddy. Here I'll give you one, work on your assumptions because ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFEoMO0pc7k

Yes, some people are that stupid. And some clubs will take them on. preseason..."I'm not sure if i can commit", yet first round they're out playing and every round after that, ahead of some kid whose not s good yet, trains twice a week and has done since January.machickenz wrote:You'd really think someone is that stupid expecting to walk into a club without training?

In that case, whoever the coach was. He was stupid enough to even play him if he wasnt 'good' enough.

I haven't had a coach who's liked me yet, and I been playing for 27 years.
