Nothing sexy today SID! Just some hot and bothered players......

Good to see some young blood in Rounis, Taylor and Baker. Where's the McConnell boys?

Personally thought you boys were trying to play the better soccer in the first half rather than the long searching balls from Pontians, but I'm sure Taylor and Rounis will learn from Pontians gameplay.

And tell Pearcey that his 30 yard rockets, whilst look really impressive, miss the target more often than not. Thought he learnt that at Jets!

Bring on season proper........

The joys of pre season ........everyone gets carried away with results.... ..

id say its about getting the processes right and then the results will look after itself during the course of the proper season

Very scrappy game with both sides having chances to score... Very poor standard game really...

Farm v inter was 1-1 I believe at half time... I'm calling inter to go close to winning the league this year with their side...
Considering the heat, i thought both teams put in a solid shift.

Could we see the reserves finalists determined by the results from week 1... The later KO time seemed to work well in the inter v farm game, it was playable at 5 but not at a high tempo.

I remember 1 or 2 years ago in the Mayors cup the temp was 33c and the SAASL allowed us to play at normal times so hopefully it will be ok this weekend aswell.

personally i would prefer the games to be moved to first thing in the morning rather than 5.00pm in the evening, at 5pm it was still 38 degrees, between 9.30 and 11.30 the temperature was in the low 30's.

Why can't games be changed to earlier I.e. morning rather than late on in the evening?

games have to be finished by 11am... so if you only have the one pitch I doubt people would be willing to KO at 7am and 9am.
